  1. Dozier for Addison Russell, and move Polanco to 2nd. If the Cubs would do that.
  2. And most major leaguers in minor rehabs dont have the adrenaline flowing like they do or will in a ream MLB game.......especially when he makes his first start........and like someone else said above, he is an avg ML pitcher, so i am not expecting greatness either, but hoping for status quo from the likes of what we have seen so far from our starting pitchers
  3. I personally had Hurlbut as getting killed in AA and out of baseball by seasons end, but he is a big time surprise to me, but we have had alot of pitchers doing well, it is not easy being the man(Brad Stiel?) who has to say who gets to move up and who has to stay at the level they are in, I guess, a good problem to have
  4. Now we will really have a basketball team with Chris Paul!!!!
  5. Wow , a little testy, i saw no talking down to anyone in that comment, lets not show arrogance.
  6. I was just looking at Atlanta's selections, 3 of 7 selections are 17 including their 1st 2 and another 2 are 18. Must be risk adverse and like upside, i am guessing.
  7. Blankenhorn i think is projected as an OF and Cabbage at 3B......both were HS SS, so should be athletic.
  8. Well.......my 4th and 5th Rd picks have already been chosen, I had Hudson in the 4th , and Eshelman in the 5th, and he went really early pick 46. my next pick Rd 6: I had Ryan Karstetter 3B, well they just basically chose one in Blankenhorn, so i am sure i will get that one wrong, not that I expected to get any correct LOL
  9. Prediction: Round 3 (80) Austin Rei, C , Washington
  10. Blyleven? altho he was only in Minor leagues for a few weeks.
  11. You could say this about every pitcher drafted, all starters pitch one day a week, that is it.....none have been tested until they reach the pro level and even then some teams have more than 5 man pitching staffs and limit their pitchers the first yr or two.
  12. Hey!!! Nothing wrong with that, that means instead of becoming FA , they go and retire
  13. Basically 2 for 2, I had my choice for #1 as Tucker , but if Bregman or Tate were their they would take them, and if all 3 were gone , i said Jay, and got Cody right in 2nd round.........I thought i had a chance to get 2, of the first 10, now if i can get one more, it will be all luck and i will buy a lottery ticket........my next prediction for Round 3 is: Austin Rei , Catcher......cmon baby LOL
  14. Oh , he wont be at GCL, be surprised if he isnt at Cedar Rapids, and if not there, Elizabethton. That is just an opinion, but a polished college pitcher usually isnt in the GCL.
  15. What do you mean, I think we are in desparate need of OF/1b/DH types!!!
  16. good job 6 for 6 so far
  17. I havnt looked at Hrbowski mock yet, but the pros, and Hrbowski may be a pro too, are saying Tyler Jay to the Twins. I would be ok with that, but I still prefer Tucker now that Bregman has been chosen.
  18. I think Buxton will be called up, but it will either take another excellent month and or the Twins start faltering a bit before he is recalled, I think after this tough 2 week stretch of games we are about to play, we will know where we are at and whether Buxton is about to be recalled or not...........if the players keep playing well, no reason to put Hunter to the bench and take a chance on changing the chemistry of winning. Now as i stated before if Buxton pushes the issue, of course he needs to be brought up
  19. And i dont like that strategy myself, but i guess if your minor leagues is stocked with talent, then you could, and the Twins are pretty stocked, but I still wouldnt do it.
  20. It is funny, in football or basketball if a player does drop to you, you say "we had him #1 on our board" but in baseball you dont dare say that, cuz the player and agent then will want #1 money
  21. I keep doubting him, and will keep smiling all the way if he proves us "doubting Thomas'" wrong.
