    I almost agree with this, but I am too high on Kepler.......but count me as a big believer in Miller.

    IMO the most likely Rule 5 pickups off the Twins is Wimmers and Michael(former 1st Rd picks), and I dont have a quibble with who they protected for the most part, but I would personally kept Wimmers and dropped O'Rourke.

    Major league ready?? I would disagree on any of them being ML ready(Jones would be closest IMO).....Peavy wasnt even protected last yr for the AA version of Rule 5...............I do agree that it is possible that Jorge could get the Santana treatment if some team trully believe he has big upside.

    I am ok with May in the pen, but if we would sign an above average bullpen arm(Not Stauffer type lol) I hope he moves back to starter...............I am a believer in Pressly, and I feel Tonkin hasnt been given a good shot, give him 3 months and see where he is as a Twin reliever.......So my bullpen would be.......1 Perkins, 2 Jepsen(co-closers), 3 Pressly,4 Tonkin,5 Rogers, 6 May or new FA pitcher preferably a lefty.........7 Meyer and if we have a 13 man pitching staff, 8 Nolasco.

    Its not a mistake of yours ,if you place him 5th or 55th on your prospect list or I do on mine, its the mistake of the Twins if he doesnt make it after signing him for $5M.

    I would agree with this, but I still think Kepler would have needed to be one of them, but yes, i think this would be pretty equal to what Texas gave up. And I was thinking of the implication of Hamels contract situation, that is part of why i replaced Berrios , with a Gonsalves or Stewart scenario.

    I would have to disagree, about the point of the trade, Thompson, Alfaro, and Williams(which the article doesnt even bring up) were equal to Berrios, Kepler, and either Polanco or Gordon, plus give up a ML mid level pitchter...........if you go by MLB Pipeline, Berrios(20th ranked), Polanco or Gordon(75,77), and Kepler (96) is comparable to Jake Thompson(51), Williams (55), and Alfaro (59) #1 ranked catcher and only 22 yrs old............So to say we wouldnt have to give up any of our top prospects you are way wrong IMO.............Even if you take out Berrios and replace him with Stewart or Gonsalves you are giving less than Texas did........I believe you oversell our prospects compared to what the baseball world does. We all love OUR OWN prospects, me included, but i do TRY to look outside our Twins world

    On second thought , after looking at MLB Pipeline prospects, I think he could end up being right around that 50 mark, at least in my eyes. and hopefully BA will think so also.

    I am surprised that Kepler is/was ahead of Berrios, but does amount of time in league have some to do with that??? Overall prospect , i would assume Berrios will be ahead of Kepler, I would be surprised (happily) if Kepler was a Top 50 prospect in BA eyes........but he is definitely a Top 75 to 100 for sure, and maybe better with all the graduates to the big leagues this yr.

    I actually really liked Pressly he is for sure back IMO, and I think they keep Tonkin on 40 man for one more try, see if his 95 FB can finally make a difference at the MLB level.

    If you are saying allin before the season, I am not sure I am ready to say that.......but as Dave noted what Texas did, if we are in the hunt come trading deadline, finding someone or something similar to the Hamels situation would be ideal to me.......basically be ready to go all in if the team looks like it is taking a step forward from this yr.......i am not completely convinced that we might not take a step back next yr before taking off in 2017.

    Well Houston had a poorer record last yr , so Hinch would have to be a top nominee, and IMO so should Girardi with the dreaded NY Yankees...........And Yost would get consideration, but i personally dont think much of him as manager.

    I know a little off topic, but when Vavra got hurt, it originally sounded like it was only going to be a couple weeks max, what changed or what did they find?...........and what was Cederoths injury and it must have been serious , as he was out rest of yr?

    If you read this somewhere, then i believe, but the question I would have then ,is why if the Twins win vs Houston then LA comes to Minnesota, but if Houston beats LA they still have to come to Minnesota, so I would have thought if, in the scenario that LA decides to host 2 home games if they win first one, is used and Houston won, why would Houston then not host Minnesota???

    If we are going to do something like this, I like the 2 for 1 pitcher exchange as we seem to be doing ok in the starting pitcher depth department.......but if we do, and it is someone under a long term deal, it is for 3 yrs or less.

    It is encouraging, but also reminds us that 2016 is no given as far as being anything more than around an 85 win team, of course, all depending on health and offseason acquisitions.........as constituted we are a Jekyll and Hyde kind of team.

    Lets see, i called him good not great, i guess that is negative......I say I love his HR's and defense, i guess that is negative, but you only look at "I am frustrated" and think I am negative......or maybe because i say we could trade him if we get a high quality player back......i guess you only see the glass half empty and didnt see the glass half full statement.

    I am not necessarily advocating trading Dozier, just if you can get a good return, i certainly wouldnt be against it, one position that the Nationals are in search of, I would look into it.
