  1. Who plays 3rd base this year if this trade were to happen?
  2. I voted Dozier because I have no idea how much Presley, Hicks, or Mastroianni will be playing. If one of those guys is playing everyday I'd probably go with them.
  3. Oh I wasn't aware that the team gave that out. To me Joe Mauer doesn't qualify because he didn't play enough games.
  4. Was Brian Dozier the MVP of the team last year?
  5. I gave Parmelee playing time in MLB The Show 13 and he tore it up. Just throwing that tidbit out there.
  6. The handling of pitchers sounds like something the Twins need.
  7. No it was an honest question. I agree with you that position players are more valuable in terms of wins over an 162 game season.
  8. Someone has to get traded now, right? I don't see how Kubel fits with the 25 man roster with the guys you mentioned plus Willingham. Edit: Darren Wolfson just tweeted that it is a minor league deal for Kubel.
  9. Those 30 homers as a rookie would still be pretty impressive.
  10. Who wins more games for their team, Justin Verlander or Miguel Cabrera?
  11. So this thing projects Miguel Sano would hit 30 homeruns if he played all year in the majors?
  12. I don't completely agree. You can never have too much pitching, as has been said many times on this board. Look at what the Cardinals did last year. They had a couple injuries to the pitching staff and brought guys up from the minors without skipping a beat. A lot of our higher rated pitching prospects were in the lower levels last year. A couple of those guys might be fast movers, but I wouldn't expect those guys to be up for a couple of years like you said. However, we do still have Alex Meyer and a couple of other guys that will be in AA this year or were in AA last year that could make an impact soon. Having too much pitching isn't a real problem. You can always trade guys away or release them if you have to. I think these moves are more a factor of losing so many games the last three seasons along with Joe Mauer beginning to age and two of the top prospects in baseball getting close to the majors.
  13. My opinion on not spending money last year is maybe Terry Ryan knew we were a well below average team with lots of holes to fill and didn't think it was time to spend money with our top prospects even farther away than they are now. Who were the top free agent pitchers last year? The free agent signings I remember didn't do very well for their teams.
  14. I just posted this in another thread, but I figured it could be its own thread. La Velle E. Neal III released a report a little bit ago and in it he had an update on Miguel Sano.
  15. Also, La Velle E Neal III just released a report stating,
  16. I went with Worley. It was between Hicks and Worley to me. I think Hicks rebounds too, but I think he is more likely to start in AAA than Worley.
  17. He also hit 19 homeruns in 67 games. He still managed a .915 OPS with that .236 average. There is almost no way I trade the #3 prospect in baseball right now.
  18. I would prefer if the Twins didn't sign Arroyo, but I wouldn't hate it if we did (unless he pitches terribly).
  19. It was between Willingham and Arcia for me. I went with Arcia having a breakout year hitting 25-30 homeruns.
  20. I hope it is Morneau. I plan on going to Coors Field this summer and might just do it when the Twins are in town.
  21. Doesn't Oakland have one of the lower rated farm systems in MLB? That could work in our favor if true.
  22. Todd Helton just retired so someone has to play first base. I think Morneau could definitely hit 25+ homeruns playing in Denver.
  23. I don't think we can give up on Liam Hendriks quite yet. Let's give him another year. I don't think he is blocking anyone at AAA.
  24. I guess Terry Ryan isn't messing around this off season.
  25. J.D. Williams, Niko Goodrum, Bryan Haar, Dereck Rodriguez Alex Wimmers, Aaron Slegers, Kuo Hua Lo, Austin Malinowski
