  1. Andrew Morris has flat out been huge for this team - key roles in a bunch of wins lately, Saved the season with the 10th inning performance against Colorado & came up clutch in all 3 appearances this week, Cool customer. Bright future!
  2. Gotcha, yeah, makes sense. That whole sequence was weird, followed by Bell’s oppo single that was almost a homer/robbed.
  3. Did he try to steal earlier in Kody’s at-bat? I forget…but the fact that Austin didn’t try going from third made me wonder if Buxton went on his own.
  4. Also, I was tough on Joe after his last start, He showed me. A masterclass in getting ahead in the count. Bravo 👏
  5. Team 4.3%ers feeling pretty good right now! Hats off to Shelty’s Grinders. 9-3 in our last two road trips, all against potential playoff teams, is super impressive. Huge homestand coming up, likely without Buck.
  6. 💯. Kody has been clutch time & time again since we acquired him. We’ve all seen him take it to the next level this season. Look those numbers up🙌🏼
  7. So, a couple weeks back, I was scoffed at by a TD member for suggesting Kody Clemens was playing at an All-Star level. Identify yourself!!🤣
  8. BTW the Kreidler cool off comes with the package. He’ll turn it around 👊🏼
  9. Fair is fair: Gotta get this much-maligned bullpen some flowers. They’ve had a pretty good week, going back to last Sunday. Held down the fort at least. Got out of a couple tough jams today!
  10. And I’m guessing he also earns a bonus for making the ASG?
  11. Seems the broadcast crew might’ve finally tired of hyping up Royce’s aura with the bases loaded. I wasn’t following the Twins back when he built up those numbers a few years back. I can’t remember in 2+ years of watching the Twins closely again the last time he had a big hit with the BL.
  12. How many points has our RISP average dropped in the past 10 games? Bound to happen but seems like a lot. Dang, if Brooks’ liner finds a hole, the 8th look a whole lot different. Yeah, so it goes. Split the next two game and I’m satisfied with the road trip.
  13. I get it. But you could see by Shelton’s pacing around the dugout late in the game, which you rarely see (or at least the cameras don’t often show) that he, like us, doesn’t consider a 5-6 run lead mop-up duty with this BP. That was my takeaway at least. Hell, the Astros were one ball away from having the tying run (and one of the best sluggers in the league!) to the plate.
  14. I like Tristan. Keep him up. He’s had a tough stretch lately but everyone does & he’s definitely been a solid addition overall imo. Seems like a good teammate. Is he Ozzie Smith at short? No, of course not. But he’s serviceable and has come up clutch. Those two grand slams won games for us.
  15. Good win, fellas! Keeping the dream alive 👊🏼
  16. I don’t know about y’all, but I’m perfect calm over here 😬😅
  17. Close to elite imo, but as we all know too well, couldn't rise to the occasion in the playoffs. The Twins of 2002-2010 were probably the best team in MLB to not make the World Series during that period. Despite the playoff futility, so many good memories watching those clubs.
  18. I think we’re all thinking the same thing going into NY this weekend with the Yankees desperate having lost seven straight…😬
  19. I'll give 'em this - they looked bad around early May, but on July 1, the Bell and Caratini signings appear to have been good decisions. They have been huge for us the past 6 weeks. But will Bell be around this time next month?
  20. Joe Ryan has gone past 6 innings twice this season. I dunno, maybe the stats show he is one of the AL's best starters, but "the experience" hasn't quite felt like a fun trip all that often to my eyes. Even when he's been great, like in the White Sox start a few weeks back, he gives up a late homer that tied the game up. Fielding has been bad, but not an F imo. The main photo on this story is diabolical lmao ☠️
  21. This is just me sitting behind my keyboard judging a professional athlete, so take with a grain of salt of course, but if you're healthy enough to go to work, then excuses about being ill don't carry much weight imo. We're not talking Jordan during the Flu Game here. I said this last week - Joe was in the dugout supposedly with an illness on Monday and Tuesday, but was good enough to pitch on Wednesday? If you're too sick to work, then you should be at home resting, not at work hanging around your coworkers. Then again, I'm no conspiracy theorist, but it's not out of the realm of the possibility there was no illness and he simply wanted to pitch against Ohtani. Also, you know, don't walk two straight batters to face one of the best sluggers in baseball with the bases loaded! Of course, plenty of blame to go around with that clown show of an inning. Definitely not all on Joe. One more point: He's coming real close to showing up his fielders with his over-the-top reactions to balls going through the infield.
