Ty France wouldnt be my 1st choice to play 1B for us, but hes not the worst safety net option. Definitely better than Lewis in the offensive and defensive areas of the game. I had Kody Clemens filling in at 2B until Houston was ready to come up, but Arraez is one of my favorite players, so I'd welcome the addition. He'd be good to hit 3rd for us and provide plus Defense. Absolutely no interest at all in Isiah K-F. Redundant. Kriedler and/or Ross will be just fine in that role. Brusdar Graterol would a great minor league signing, but not someone to count on. Okert is a no from me. I dont trust a player that is only successful in Houston.

Marek Houston became my favorite prospect over this past season. The glove is great. The speed was there and the bat was good at both levels.

Either leave him in AAA to work on 1B amd his bat or use him as a trade candidate. He has value

Is Willson Contreras available? He would be a great 1B candidate. Much better bat and could hit Cleanup for us. Another option, see if Brandon Lowe could come in and make a move to 1B. 128OPS I think. He could also bat cleanup for us. From what the article suggested, only Burleson would work and I doubt he's available without an overpay. He would look great in a Twins uniform. What would it take to get him? ERod & Tait?

We need a proven Closer. Signing David Bednar to be our Closer would help immensely. We have other guys to fill the rest of the BP. Hoffman gets the 8th inning. Gomez, Morris, Adams, Banda, and Nance are under team control. Other potential options could include Rojas, Ober, Festa, and any other Starter the team feels is destined for BP work. Im not interested in working the fringes or raising the floor. Raise the ceiling for once. If Funderburk wont cut it as THE Lefty, resign Minter if wants to come back. But a Closer is a necessity. We do not have one on the roster.

If we want to win, we need to raise the ceiling and not the floor. We need a proven Closer. I would like to see David Bednar signed to be our Closer. Having the 9th inning covered will lengthen the BP immensely. Hoffman can cover the 8th and we have a bunch of arms already thay can fill the rest of the pen.

His time here should be over. Hes not a good defender anywhere and he cant hit the ball. Hes had 3 seasons to show something and he hasn't.

Overall, mostly disappointing minor league teams in our system this year. AA and under massively underperformed. AAA had the best overall record and missed the playoffs. A system I feel should be changed, but probably won't be.

Im tendering a contract to everyone except Sands and Larnach. Do not want to get stuck with Larnach again. Sands has been terrible. Lewis has value as a trade candidate. He shouldn't be on the team opening day. Banda, Nance, and Ober can battle for BP spots. I know it was 1 appearance, but Ober got it up to 91mph during that outing and pitched great. Shorter stint with higher velocity on his fastball may work. Banda was pitching very well when he got injured. If he can do that again, he would be a welcomed arm in the pen. Nance can be a low cost low leverage arm. If we upgrade from any of these guys, its easy to trade relievers. Ryan, Clemens, Taj are no brainers. Kremer I keep around in case of injury. He can fill a rotation spot or be good trade bait. He pitched well after coming over from Baltimore.

I see the strikeout numbers from Quick. Those look good. But a 6.68 ERA really moves you into the Top 5? Even Mendez with an .804 OPS isnt all that impressive. No power will only be less against ML pitching and its unlikely he maintains a .374 OBP. Also, no defense. Having those 2 jump so high doesnt give me hope at all. Our system was filled with a lot of bad seasons from players who were supposed to be prospects. Charlee Soto, Quentin Young, Tait. Even QuicK performed poorly IMO and moved up. Not a single pitcher in AAA gives me any excitement. There werent a ton of good performances. Caden Kendle, Khadim Diaw, Marek Houston, Lackey. Wallner and Sabato had great AAA seasons but likely won't be back next season.

Sign Bradley, Keaschall, and Jenkins to 10 year extensions.

See if hes open to an extension. If we can somehow fleece another team and get a haul for him, then fine. Do the trade. If not, just let him pitch. Whether we keep him or trade him, we still need to sign an Ace to lead our rotation. Teams that win the world series usually have a legit Ace starter, a shutdown closer, and a stud clean up hitter. We currently have none of those.

I have the same players on my list with the addition of Clemens. I think defensively, he's better than most or all free agent 2B. I think he starts the year playing 2B until Houston is ready to come up. Then its probably Houston or Culpepper playing 2B. Lee at 3B. The team is in love with him, putting him near the top of the lineup far too often. Culpepper starts the year at SS. Easy decision there. Buxton in CF. If he's healthy, thats his spot. Jenkins in the OF. If Buxton isnt ready, he plays CF. Otherwise corner OF is his home. Keaschall will also be batting leadoff for us. OF or DH. I would think ERod and Roden are the other OFers. Im not sure how it would work, but between the 3 OF spots and DH, I'd imagine these 5 guys, Buck, Jenkins, Keaschall, ERod, and Roden, will all rotate through those positions. I feel like Jenkins will play CF and Buck DH a bit, especially at the beginning of the season. Caratini CAN NOT be the starting C for this team if we want any chance at all to compete. 1B also needs a HUGE upgrade. To be honest, 1B and C are the only offensive signings I would make. We have the players in house to fill out the rest of the roster. 1 high end Starter and a shut down Closer, also.
