    Regardless of if the Twins do any selling or changes for next season, I agree with this. Bader has hands down been one of the most fun players to have on the team. I would like to see him stay a Twin. Great outfield duo with Buxton and I think both bring great energy.

    Despite this year overall disappointment, on a light note, if you told me before the season that my 3 most enjoyable players to watch would have been Buxton, Clemens and Bader… I wouldn’t have believed you.

    Yea that’s true. I think I feel that with how hard runs have been to come by for us I would rather take risk at home.

    Am I the only one that really thinks Wallner should have gone? I think he would have gotten there on the throw. I don’t think it would have been right on the plate.

    This! I for the life of me can't really figure this out either. It just doesn't pass the test to think we have nobody in AAA that couldn't be providing more contribution than Bride. Seems little to lose at this point trying somebody (almost anybody) in this place.

    Your first stray thought in the article is spot on. Definitely feel watching some other teams they do just this, all the focus to move runners and get that run in. For whatever reason it just never feels like the Twins share that goal and are sticking to some outside “strategy” for hitting.

    Despite the painful loss, I agree. France and Bader both get a lot of hate I don’t understand especially for the money they are getting paid this year.

    During that 13 win run it seemed the Twins were doing well playing small ball, advancing runners and getting guys across the plate. It’s not clear why this suddenly dropped off outside of pitching injuries which in theory shouldn’t directly cause this part to disappear. It doesn’t make sense to not go for more steals given having Buxton, Bader and Kiersey (in theory he should be adding to this since that seems to be why they keep calling him up??). It’s unfortunate. Also, does Jeffers ever manage to get a pick off throw anywhere near second base? I seriously can’t recall him making that throw this year. Also again, what is a bunt? I’ve heard it’s a thing but never seem to see them in Minnesota.

    Watching another ball game yesterday and the starting pitcher worked into the 8th. Watching the twins so much made me forget that was even allowed.

    With Jeffers not hitting all that well I’d much rather have Vasquez behind the plate most games. I feel like he manages the game better especially for some of the young pitchers.

    It just seems surprising that there isn’t anyone within our minors that wouldn’t be a better addition than Bride. On another observation, as I’ve been watching more Angels games this year in addition to Twins games it’s been an interesting comparison. I start to feel like a team in the Angels is a better team than their record suggests then when watching the Twins they start to feel like a team that is worse than their record suggests… hoping this maybe starts to change?

    My real team (Twins) with another hard loss by 1 run and my secondary team (Angels) with a 1 run loss. Maybe I need to pick a third team that likes winning? That must be a fun experience.

    Twins are absolute experts at completely blowing bases loaded situations.

    Agreed. I think Vasquez was a large component of Festa having a pretty good outing yesterday.

    Just killer that our 1,2 and 3 batters in that situation can’t get anything of substance done.

    Why does it feel like whenever we load the bases with zero outs I automatically assume we won’t get a single run scored?

    All around fun game to watch today! Overall nice outing by Festa and it’s a fun day when Buxton is playing well.

    Really appreciate this take. I fully agree with this one. On another note, I just maybe don't understand enough of the stats but I am still surprised how so many of these articles always make a slant on France when making a compliment. Agree, he hasn't been playing like a $20 million star but he isn't getting paid that and you can't really complain about his consistency on getting on base and his average with RISP. He gets on base a lot and we have a lot of other players that aren't making use of his consistency getting on base. Now, if we want to critique base running speed... that is another topic entirely!

    I don’t know or understand all the statistics that many others do on this board. So though it may be a naive take when I look at the Twins needs right now, replacing Ty France at 1B is nowhere near the top of my list. From watching the games this year, in situations where the Twins needs right now a hit, there are few I would rather have up to bat at this point. I also feel that overall he has provided adequate defense at 1B. Sure, he isn’t a star necessarily but as far as a consistent contributor I have been pleased with his performance and the price tag for the Twins this season (and maybe even next).

    Had to figure out how to get a picture from the game down to size! Sat right behind the visitor dugout and it was great to see their energy at the end!

    My son and I drove up from Oregon for the series. What game this was to watch live! The Mariner stadium was rocking after the 8th and just deflated in the 9th and 10th. A lot of Twins fans out here making noise! Win Twins!
