  1. Yeah, probably couldn't hurt. Farmers fascination with a guy like Trump has never made sense to me from the start. I'm not sure the man even knows what a farm is. But, they love him. I don't get it.
  2. Perhaps. But I still think any improvements he may have been making were still a far, far cry from max contract. I didn't understand that one from the start.
  3. I'm guessing he's referring to Wander Javier. But to answer his question, not any time soon.
  4. Well said. There may be rural areas in the deep south, and perhaps the mountain west, that'll never go blue any time soon. But that's not the case in the Midwest. Plenty of rural districts in the midwest have previously been Democratic strongholds.
  5. I don't remember seeing a single ad regarding that issue. I'm not sure it'd matter though. As I've posted before, there was a pretty revealing article I read a while back. A dozen or more farmers were featured, and while most of them acknowledged that the tariffs were killing them, every one of them said they'd still support Trump.
  6. There may have been some improvements offensively, I don't recall exactly. But, defense matters too. I'm not sure how Butler being a ball hog prevents Wiggins from playing defense. Unless Wiggins can improve dramatically on defense, no amount of offense is going to make him a positive player. At least according to the metrics, I thankfully don't watch many Wolves games.
  7. Several of the survivors also survived the Las Vegas shooting. This really is a sad, upside down world.
  8. I'm admittedly not an NBA expert, but it never seemed like a difficult decision to me. Wiggins has never shown any indication that he'd ever be the kind of player you'd miss. On the contrary, he's consistently ranked among the worst regulars in the league, according to the advanced metrics. Some people see crazy athleticism, and seem desperate to extrapolate that out to something more than it is. This team will be a lot better off without Wiggins, and not just because of the salary. He's a negative value player.
  9. For sure. On a personal level, every other issue goes out the window when you have a health scare. Unless you have A+ insurance, which the vast majority don't, we're all potentially one catastrophic illness/injury away from losing everything we've ever worked for. I don't think enough people realize that. That's the point that Democrats need to hammer incessantly. Nearly every political ad should show what it looks like when a good, hardworking family loses everything trying to pay for a medical crisis. Every rally should have those people on stage. Have insurance experts on hand at town halls and meet and greets that can explain to people where their insurance policy leaves them vulnerable.
  10. Are you talking about Dassey or Avery? I'm talking about Dassey. There is no evidence whatsoever connecting Dassey to the murder except his laughable confession. Avery deserves a new trial, IMO, but there is certainly at least some evidence against him.
  11. Yep, awful deal. One of the worst in sports history. I didn't understand it at the time. Why are people teased by his athleticism? It means very little on it's own. There is so much more to be excellent than just athleticism.
  12. I'll be interested to see if they successfully subpoena Trump's tax records. I think that's the one thing that terrifies him. My guess is it's because we'll find ties to Russia in them.
  13. He's also demanded that Hillary be indicted.
  14. I wonder if Brendan Dassey has a shot at a pardon with a Democratic Governor now?
  15. Some really good things happened when people were able to voice their positions on issues directly though. Three deep red states voted to expand Medicaid, that's huge. Florida restored voting rights to 1.4 million non violent felons. Michigan voted to legalize recreational marijuana, and Missouri and Utah voted to legalize medicinal marijuana. Might be a couple more positive referendums that I'm forgetting.
  16. I think the other part of it is that there is a fair amount of people that vote Trump, but are embarrassed enough by his behavior that they don't want to admit it to pollsters or family/friends.
  17. Will Scott Walker really finally lose? I'll believe it when I see it, but right now it looks like he's going down.
  18. Florida did restore voting rights to 1.4 million people though.
  19. House back up to 62.3%. Senate still not happening.
  20. 4-0 gop in competitive races now.
  21. 0% Senate, and now 2:1 underdogs to control the house.
  22. 2.6% and 67.6%, wow.
  23. Yep, Senate odds now below 4%. House odds plummeting by the second, down to 75% now. Things aren't looking good at the moment.
  24. Florida 25th now called red as well. 2-0 GOP in winnable races.
  25. Ugh, make that 9.3%. House odds falling too, though still a comfortable 81.1%.
