  1. A bunch of commies in this thread. If you guys dont want to live in the USA nobody is forcing you to. This ain't Cuba, don't let the door hit you on the way out.
  2. Well so far, he's yet to strike out, was robbed of at least a double by Fuld at the wall, hit a laser line drive off the top of the LF wall, has made a number of masterful defensive plays, and is rocking an .077 babip. I would hope that the board would be thrilled if Arcia came up and had such a great, albeit unlucky, start.
  3. Has anyone credible ever said that Nunez was the heir apparent to Jeter? Because looking through his minor league numbers, I don't see anything to have ever been excited about. He was never once ranked on any top 100 lists, and though he flashed a couple of decent offensive seasons, he overall put up numbers in the mid .600 OPS range. His defense has always been bad, even in the minors, so I don't see why it is hard to believe that it would still be bad in the majors.
  4. I don't know if it's pure speculation, or if they have a source, but RotoWire says a week to 10 days to get warmed up for a AA promotion.
  5. The Rockies have an excess of MLB ready CF'ers. Drew Stubbs? Not sure if he does anything more for me than Fuld does, but he probably wouldn't cost a whole lot.
  6. Moises Sierra was claimed by the White Sox.
  7. Okay, but what is the reason he can't work on that stuff at the MLB level, with Brunansky?
  8. If you are referring to the lack of OF depth on the Brewers roster, my only opinion would be that you probably should have a little more depth when your everyday CF'er is Aaron Hicks and his sub .600 career OPS vs. one of the best CF'ers in baseball.
  9. Arcia had an above average OPS+ as a 22 year old rookie last year. Did he look flawless? No, of course not. Did he show enough that he deserves to work through his slumps at the MLB level? I think he does. Do we need to see Mike Trout level production before a young player deserves to be up?
  10. Except one of these things is perfectly legal for me to do, on my own property that I paid for and pay taxes on, while the other is likely illegal.
  11. So what if my neighbor on one side of me is against mowing your lawn on Sunday, while the neighbor on the other side of me is against mowing your lawn on Saturday? Well, I guess I don't get to mow my lawn at all. Telling my neighbor he should mow his lawn on Sunday (when it goes against his belief system) would be a lack of courtesy, choosing to mow my lawn on Sunday does not infringe on his belief system in any way, shape, or form. Where do you draw the line? I'm curious to know? What if I have a belief that all children should be homeschooled? Do I have a right to extend that belief to everyone in my community? Do I have a right to ostracize you because you don't share my belief? What if I have a belief that men shouldnt cut their hair, or shave their beards? Do I have a right to impose that belief on my neighbors? Isn't religious freedom not only the right to your own beliefs, but ALSO my right not to have your beliefs imposed on me? What if an interracial couple, or a gay couple move into a community where people have strong beliefs against that? I guess the only courteous thing to do would be for that couple to break up, or move away, right?
  12. Yeah and just like most of the unwritten rules in baseball, that is pretty dumb. I'll mow my lawn any day of the week that I choose to. If someone doesn't like it, it is they who have the problem, not me.
  13. Considering that KC hasn't been league average or better since 2007, I wouldn't hold your breath on #2.
  14. What is the unwritten rule regarding mowing your lawn on Sunday? I'm afraid I've never heard of that one.
  15. Okay, I'm fine with getting him healthy, but if he's not healthy he shouldn't be playing in minor league games.
  16. Is Arcia healthy or not? If he's not, he shouldn't be playing in minor league games. If he is, why is he not ready? The guy missed 3 weeks, not 3 months. Manny Machado missed 9 months and came back after 4 rehab games, I don't see why 4 or 5 games isnt enough when you have only missed 3 or 4 weeks. As for Meyer, I didn't mean at the break of camp, I mean now. He would be one of our best 5 pitchers, and he can continue to refine his changeup on the MLB roster, we do have Bobby Cuelluar on staff, so we not? Shocking, that he will just so happen to be "ready", conveniently, when the Super 2 date passes.
  17. He is not a catcher or a relief pitcher, so I'm going with no.
  18. His AAA season was somewhat impressive, but an .836 OPS in AA for a guy with a ton of pro experience, and nearly 4 years older than the league as a 1B/DH type is not all that impressive to me.
  19. If they were trying to win now Meyer would be up, as would Arcia.
  20. I'd say it's simply regression to the mean. Colabello led baseball in babip through the first 3 weeks of the season. That was not likely to continue. Just the fact he's playing in the MLB still makes it a great story, but he is what he is, and it looks like he's turned back into a pumpkin.
  21. Because their only other option on the 40 man would have been a 4th catcher. Per Bernadino, "Escobar to be the everyday SS".
  22. I'm sure teams are lining up left and right to claim him.
  23. My guess would be that Florimon goes down when Arcia comes off the DL.
  24. It was due after he led baseball in babip for the first 3 weeks of the season. Luck works both ways, and eventually manages to even itself out.
  25. I guess I'd have to hear a further explanation of what isnt "ready" about him. Do they think he might be rusty? Ok, I can buy that, but with our other options, I'm not sure beggars can be choosers right now. Do they mean he's not healthy? If he's not healthy then why on earth is he playing in minor league games?
