    Great article. I never realized Lohse was such a thoughtful and heady guy. Sounds like he's mastered the mental side of the game, which explains why he outpitches his FIP and xFIP year in and year out.

    I'm really high on Gatewood. But, that said, I think there will be better options at 5. This draft is pretty loaded, IMO, the Twins better not miss at 5.

    Overall i'm not sure its an upgrade. Fuld is the better hitter, but Mastro is more efficient on the bases. I don't know enough about either's defense to know which one is better in that regard. Plus Mastro still has an option, I think. Fuld doesn't.

    Personally i'd rather reward the guy who breezed through 8 innings. I just think it sends a bad message when you tell your staff that no matter how well they do, you are taking the ball out of their hands when they hit 100 pitches. Whatever, minor complaint, i've moved on. I'll live. Good win today.

    I think Bartlett is out of options. Regardless, they don't need to send him down, they will keep him down for the max on a rehab assignment.

    Assuming Nolasco has a good 8th, and is around 105 pitches, will Steiny have the guts to send him out to finish what he started? My guess is Gardy has a sniper in the stands to prevent such a preposterous thing.
