  1. Do you know if the new regime is as married to the arbitrary year over year innings increase limit as the old regime was? It will be interesting to see how they handle him next season, if he looks MLB ready in September, but has an innings limit next year.
  2. Why does one team get to keep trying, and the other team has to stop? Not rhetorical, I honestly don't understand.
  3. Okay... but the team is capable of being wrong, so I don't see how that is relevant to the discussion. The Twins let Nick Anderson get away without giving him a shot. I can play that game too.
  4. Adrianza since May 1st: .320/.399/.480 We don't get to put 2017 Marwin Gonzalez in our lineup.
  5. Why not? Adrianza has 60 points higher of OPS, and is the better fielder.
  6. Miami got back the #58 prospect in return for Gallen. If they weren't picky about position, then Graterol would have been comparable (#57). However, if they were looking to get a position player back, only Lewis or Kirilloff would likely be enough to top what they got.
  7. No. But I don't believe I've ever been on board with that. If they want to QO him, fine. But no multi year commitment.
  8. How is another 10 foot lead going to prevent him from being thrown out by 40 feet? He'd have just been out by 30 feet instead.
  9. This is two outings in a row where Berrios has sat 2-3 mph down on his fastball. If something is wrong with him, we're in big trouble.
  10. Ok, those are all fair points. But also completely different goalposts than what I quoted and responded to.
  11. Which measurements? Twins rankings: Team ERA: 5th in AL, 9th in MLB Starters ERA: 4th AL, 8th in MLB Reliever ERA: 8th in AL, 15th in MLB.
  12. I'd say it's both. I don't think anyone can argue that the Twins have played their best baseball since early June. It wouldn't have mattered if Cleveland hadn't also been red hot, but both are contributing factors.
  13. I'd think they could get him pretty close to 120 if they sent him to play fall or winter ball somewhere.
  14. He's not injured now. I don't follow your logic here. Why would they shut him down, just because he was previously injured, if he's healthy now?
  15. Do you think they'll be facing teams like Miami, Chicago, and KC in the postseason?
  16. I have no idea how you inferred any of that from my post. All I said was that just because there appears to be room in the budget, doesn't mean there is. I nowhere gave any opinion on the pros or cons of spending more money.
  17. If it was the normal soreness that he typically feels the day after pitching, it wouldn't have been noteworthy enough in his mind to bring it up in the context that he mentioned it. He was able to pinpoint the exact series when it began to feel different. By definition, if it felt different, then it wasn't just normal soreness.
  18. Are we really suggesting that he didn't know he was injured, despite struggling to put his (expletive) clothes on? That's not normal soreness.
  19. Wait, didn't this start with you and Chief playing the "if" and "hindsight" game? (If they'd signed free agents in the offseason, and if they'd worked out.)
