    The Royals received a 25 year old pitcher with a 5 ERA in the majors that had never been a top 100 Prospect. You can't look at what Ragans became, have to look at what he was at the time of the trade . On this measuring stick, they did well.

    Yeah. Why anyone would care about human chess players. They can't beat a computer. Clearly that means we should value the computer. Screw writers. Screw coders. Screw artists. Screw paralegals. Long live the AI revolution and the 1% that no longer have to pay those *******s.

    It is arguable. Comparing their Fangraphs prospect reports. And then a really solid middle reliever under control that can pitch a lot of innings (but sadly out of options).

    If there's a new owner, and if they're willing to operate at a loss for a team that is really bad the last two seasons and has a lot of work to do in order to compete. I think this is a B grade trade. Not incredible and with 24 hours left on the clock and no rush to trade I would have kept the lines open. Buy the thought process was good. As a Mets fan, I hope he blows up and completely sucks in Philly.

    Twins shouldn't expect nearly as much for the rental of Coulombe but 2 near ready mid tier prospects is possible. Butto was the big shock, but Giants aren't ready to give up on the season completely so it makes sense that they demanded a current arm in return.

    This is why emptying the bullpen is appropriate. Betting on a reliever being good in two seasons is almost always a bad bet. SELL, SELL, SELL! Seriously, looking at what the Giants got for Tyler Rogers just now, for a rental, Twins would be foolish not to trade at least 3 arms.

    The Mets just paid a LOT for a rental of a RP. The market is HOT and the Twins should take advantage of the high cost of RP and sell off all of Duran, Jax, Stewart, Topa, and Coulombe.

    I know Twins fans like to think the organization is well respected and they treat their players well...but I feel like that's just marketing much like Falvey's reputation and the Pitching Pipeline.

    Strong disagree. He's on pace for 450 PAs which is what should always be expected from a 4th OF. Also, he earned more playing time. Had he come out with a 650 OPS, I think Larnach would have been asked to play a lot more in the field.

    I've been ****ing on that hideous thing from opening day. Adopting a stupid gimmick from the start reeks of desperation to find a club identity. A gimmick is fine, but has to be organic and earned. The backup catcher buying something from Amazon is the exact opposite of that.

    I was told by multiple people how signing Bader was a waste of resources because DaShawn Keirsey was ready to contribute. I think those people have given proper mea culpa on that terrible take.

    That's the sad part. He's only 83rd percentile in sprint speed and his defense is...pretty good. He was NEVER deserving of a spot, and like someone else just said, him being on the roster to start the season epitomizes the lack of depth on this team and why it was obvious from the start that this team wasn't going anywhere.

    Fun Fact: It can be both. It's silly because he's an incredible CF and should be playing CF. But the team has a surplus of OF they want to get playing time and repositioning the roster in order to get them all playing time helps the team.

    He can bounce up and down as long as he has options. But no. I would be shocked to see him get to 200 PAs in his career.

    They at least won 90 games. Something this incredible core didn't even manage.

    Well, their daddy tried. But they're billionaires and everyone know if you're rich that automatically means you're smarter and better than poor people. So you should probably just be quiet and worship them for allowing us to live in their world.

    I'm being realistic and not planning on the team being competitive next year either. 2027 guys. The vision is there. The path is there.

    We have to stop with this BS excuse that position flexibility hurts a player. Brooks Lee is a fine player, not trying to **** on him, but he's not struggled because he's been asked to play all three infield positions. And this idea that him playing SS today HURTS the team is very obviously wrong.

    Where did this incredible marketing slogan come from? All of Falvey's praise seems entirely unearned.

    The Red Sox really should trade one of their OF. It's so silly to have one of the league's best defensive CF playing 2B. Also, a baseball player that has moved around the field quite a lot in his career, now playing 2B despite having very limited playing time there in his career. Almost as if a good baseball player can move down the defensive spectrum and do that and all these excuses for Brooks Lee at the position are kind of ridiculous. Also, position flexibility in a baseball player helps a team, which is good, not bad. As hard as it is for some people here to grasp.

    A sale of the team would help, and we underestimate how dynamic baseball is way more fun to watch than THIS. This Twins team is just so hard to watch. I'm reminded of the 2001 Twins. They weren't quite ready to compete with the top teams, but they were so fun to watch compared to the late 90s Twins.
