  1. This. Is. Brilliant!!! And totally sums up my disdain for this whole Twins org right now, from the "owners" to the FO to the manager/coaches to the players. This season has stunk really bad at times, and if they continue to wet the bed down the stretch this is going to leave a really bad taste in a lot of people's mouths.
  2. Hell who needs to trade when you have that kind of "excitement" languishing in AAA... typical Twins trade deadline. /makes fart noise
  3. If that's what Rogers has put up this year in NL then no thanks, I'd rather roll with SWR, Pollack, Festa, etc. The only reason I'd take him would be to have a southpaw in the rotation, but the price sounds like a hard pass to me.
  4. Calvin Griffith bought the team in 1984 for something like $36 million dollars. According to Forbes this past March, the team is now worth $1.46 BILLION. Never mind that Jim inherited the team from his dad. I don't ever, EVER, want to hear from the Pohlad's on how they are losing money on the Twins. EVER. None of us need the team to be north of $200 mil payroll, but my lord I'd love to see what the current front office could do with a payroll of even $175 mil given what they've been able to cobble together at these lower amounts. We could be AMAZING in this town man...
  5. Highly doubtful, because the way the Pohlads run the team they'll still be looking to recoup the losses in revenue from this year.
  6. Is TK (Tom Kelly) still part of the organization? This team's defense must have him spraying chew spit at the TV. His hitting perspective sucked, but that dude always put a defensively sound team on the field. Although as I filter through MLB team stats, it looks like the Twins are actually pretty solid in the field sitting at 9th in FP and tied for sixth fewest errors. Have the errors just come at costly times to cost us games? Maybe that's why as I would have thought they were way worse than that.
  7. This team is so frustrating. It seems like we get a little offense going and the pitching stinks, or vice versa.
  8. I found a forum post from Twins Daily from a while back (2012!) that spoke to scalping tickets on game days. I'll be heading into MPLS next week for work and am looking to hit up a game or three. Historically I've used the MLB Ballpark product with good results. Can anyone speak to the scalping option these days? Good? Bad? Cheaper? Is it even a thing anymore? I haven't been down to a game in a number of years so have near zero feel for the best way to procure tickets. Wondering if scalping is still an option or if it's even worth while. Thanks all!
  9. What are they now, 9-72 with RISP? That's an awful .125 BA that needs to improve in a hurry.
  10. Ober didn't look to have had that great of a spring training from what I saw, can anyone corroborate or discount that? What little I saw of him has me slightly nervous. If he and Ryan don't have average to above average seasons the starting rotation overall doesn't make me super excited. Enough to win the Central? Probably... but aren't we shooting a bit higher these days? Curious what anyone with more of a brain than I have thinks. ;)
  11. That's a pretty high achievement considering Mauer likely still holds spots 2-10 on that list... 😉 All kidding aside, Correa is a guy whom I'd trust to get his body in order during the offseason so I'd like to think he's very healthy and looking forward to a much higher level of production at the start of this season.
