  1. He’s still only playing seven innings right now.
  2. We miss Skubal and Flaherty this series but we’ve made most of the pitchers we’ve faced look like Cy Young candidates (see Perez, Lorenzen)
  3. This offense is leaving no margin for error for the pitchers and defense. Ugly baseball right now and hard to see a path out of it. There’s no calvary coming on the offensive side in the short term.
  4. Haven’t listened yet, but I think I need this podcast to get me through my workday. Looking forward to it.
  5. Tigers, Mets, and Braves before a day off and then the ChiSox. Will you take the over/under on 8.5 games back in the division by next Thursday?
  6. Doesn’t really matter. Offense went 1-9 with RISP. Only 9 runs in the 4 games in KC. These season stats explain the 4-9 start: .199 AVG, .596 OPS 3.38 runs per game
  7. 9 runs in 4 games is the story of the series. Stat of the day from Gleeman: In the 65-year history of the Minnesota Twins, their lineup has had a batting average below .200 after 13 games just twice. This season and last season.
  8. Posted by Matthew Leach of mlb.com Twins game notes list TBA tomorrow, Paddack Saturday, SWR Sunday. If you're doing the math at home, that would probably lead you to deduce that Festa is a pretty strong candidate to take Lopez's roster spot, since he last pitched on Sunday of last weekend and would be on turn for tomorrow night.
  9. Welcome back Zebulon! Not the way I wanted him to get back. Paddack to the pen will open the door long term.
  10. Noticed that as well, and I am trying not to read into it.
  11. Going for win #16 in the past 50 games. ⚾️⚾️⚾️⚾️⚾️⚾️⚾️⚾️⚾️⚾️⚾️⚾️⚾️⚾️ Wins, Last 50 Regular Season Games: 34 LAD DET 33 NYM 32 SD 31 30 CHC TEX PHI 29 28 MIL 27 HOU STL NYY ATL SF 26 SEA ARI 25 24 BAL KC CLE 23 TB TOR 22 PIT BOS CIN MIA 21 OAK WSH 20 19 COL 18 17 LAA 16 15 MIN 14 CWS
  12. This is a toughie. I’ve been on the #freemickey bandwagon since ST started. Probably has to be him although Miranda has looked the most lost at the plate.
  13. First must-win game of the season.
  14. Like what Royals do with Salvy playing C and 1B. Maybe Jeffers could learn and we could keep his bat in the lineup more often? He’s also tall 🤣
  15. Tigers look legit. We could be as many as 8 games back by the end of the weekend. Then we still have Mets and ATL before a day off 🤮
  16. Zebby pitched last night and is in same rotation as Pablo. Went 5 innings, allowed 2 runs with 9 Ks.
  17. Scheduled for MRI today is most updated thing I could find.
  18. Offense is so bad it magnifies all of the other errors. Pitching and defense have to be perfect since we cannot score runs. 2nd worst team in MLB since Aug18 and showing no signs of life. Rough to say the least.
  19. Guardos walk off the WSox 1-0 with a single and 3 straight walks in the bottom of the ninth.
  20. Update: batting second and playing second for 7 innings
  21. Larnach and Julien in for some lefty on lefty action tonight!
  22. Saw a skeet that Brooks Lee’s rehab is moving up to St Paul. Saints at home this week but haven’t posted a lineup yet for tonight.
