  1. 1 for 8 RISP, 13 LOB some things never change
  2. Tigers lose 6 in a row and we gain 1 game. Sweet
  3. Do we lead the league in giving up infield singles? Must be top 3 at least.
  4. Avoid the sweep but not a good showing this weekend for our MN Twins.
  5. C4 single, only a Clemens triple or HR will get his slow *** home.
  6. So we can only win when Ryan, SWR (sometimes), and Festa (sometimes) pitch. 2.5 wins every 5, that’s no bueno.
  7. ChiSox swept the Pirates, something we couldn’t do
  8. Gleeman: Christian Vázquez has as many hits in six innings today as he had in the past month combined.
  9. Surprisingly, the Twins are only 17th in GIDP. Would’ve thought they’d be much higher.
  10. Dan Hayes: Mickey Gasper joined #MNTwins today as part of the team's Taxi Squad. He's here in case Ryan Jeffers' wife goes into labor and the catcher is placed on the paternity list. Wife not due to induce for another 8 days but with Twins headed to LA, team's preparing for anything.
  11. Trade off the free agents to be. Give Julien and Miranda one last chance to see if they’re part of the long term plans (I have my doubts). Give Keaschall, Martin, Eeles, McCusker some extended playing time. Let’s see what we’ve got. This will help with some decision making in the off season.
  12. Buck getting a day off today. If I were Joe, I think I’d rather pitch against the Dodgers than take on Coors Field.
  13. Love to see a healthy and high performing Buxton. Sad to see it going to waste on this inconsistent team. Most of the rest of the guys are playing worse than league average or way below their career norms. Something to build on and someone to build around for the next 2-3 years.
  14. Much like the FO, I’ve been holding on to the fun and optimism of 2023. This series to start the 2nd half is my wake up call. This piece makes the most sense other than the Joe Ryan part. Parting with him is waving the white flag for 26-27. Ober is a huge ? for me and the young guys have been so erratic. Suddenly Pablo and Joe are the only rotation arms we can count on. Definitely sell the impending free agents, better to get something than nothing for them - Paddack, France, Bader, Coulombe, Castro, Vazquez. I say wait for the new ownership to make any deals for controllable guys (relievers are the exception) They will make their own decisions about who is in the FO and who they want to invest in or move.
  15. 20-30 in their last 50 games. They might get swept by the Rockies after winning three straight series. High highs and low lows. Such a frustrating club and have been this way since last August.
  16. Glad I sat this one out. Not much more to say. You guys have said it all. Terrible
  17. Not a big fan of these patches or any patches in any sport. Do we have any idea how much a patch like this costs the sponsor?
  18. If he is cooked, the Twins are cooked on this contract. Too many “ifs” on this roster to be very optimistic about the second half.
  19. I have a few shreds of optimism left even after last night’s performance in Colorado. I don’t trust the front office to trade any of the controllable assets, but we should be trying to get something for the upcoming free agents. I’d hate to see Coulombe, Bader, and Castro go.
  20. Ober didn’t look that great last night at Saint Paul and only threw 50 pitches. He needs at least one more start at AAA.
  21. PECOTA makes their chances look better but these guys haven’t been performing at their “expected” levels for almost a year now. They are 47-53 in their last 100 games which only includes the last three from 2024. The 8% chance on Baseball Reference seems more accurate. Not a good start with a dud in Colorado tonight.
