  1. Career averages..244 avg., 13 HR, 35 rbi per year. Not an exact measurement due to games played, but hugely overrated. I'll give you his defensive prowess, but he should be a backup or utility outfielder due to his inability to stay on the field. Spot start him about 60-80 games a year to keep him healthy. Get a real ball player. I am not going to list who i would rather have because I would run out of space. There are many LF and RF you could move to center also. As I stated earlier, if we are counting on Buxton and the like, we are defeated before the season starts. I understand your payroll comment, but that's why I said it's hard to care what this team does until we get new owners. We can't even keep or acquire middle of the road FA's. It's a pathetic time for this organization. Get ready for another season of complaining and apathy on this site.
  2. I've been sitting back reading posts about who's gonna hit cleanup. Who's gonna play third. Who's gonna play first. Who will backup Buxton. On a real team, Buxton would be the backup. Names being thrown out like Lee, Larnach, Wallner, Martin, Julien, Miranda etc., etc., etc., just solidify how inept this team and front office are. Free agents are flying off the board, and we just sit back, because we are smarter than everyone else. We are set! It is so discouraging and demoralizing that it is very hard to get excited for the upcoming season. The greatest sport in the world, and most exciting preseason in sport, and it leaves me not caring. Hopefully we get new owners soon that can bring back the excitement to greatest game on earth. Until then, there is no excitement in Twinkytown.
  3. With Paddack, it's simple addition by subtraction. If we have to rely on him being in the rotation or high leverage spots, we might as well raise the white flag now.
  4. And don't forget the most important; we have the BEST bullpen in baseball! And so much starting pitching our rotation would make the '66 Dodgers blush!
  5. If we are known to have the best bullpen in baseball, I would be willing to pull the wool further over their eyes and offer up the WHOLE bullpen.
  6. One disadvantage for the Twins would be that we don't have a anyone that would qualify as a golden bat.
  7. You don't think Correa would be salivating to get away from the dumpster fire known as the Minnesota Twins?
  8. Quit signing reclamation projects and rejects other teams don't want. Pretty simple.
  9. Do you think they will be available on DISH network? How do you think it will work if so?
  10. I would change this to "offense to any of the internal options". It's time to change the "Twins way".
  11. So does anyone know what Levine actually did? Who was more responsible for roster construction, Falvey or Levine?
  12. It's as simple as Kelly "knew how to manage". Rocco is completely on the opposite side of that spectrum. He doesn't have a clue.
  13. Exactly. It's not like he hit 50 HR with 120 rbi with a .350 avg through the 100 games. His production was mediocre.
  14. Just keeps getting better in Twinkieville! Rocco has a handle on things though.
  15. Rocco saving the bullpen for tomorrow.
  16. I didn't know my name was Joe Pohlad or Falvey or Levine. If you are happy with status quo, God bless ya! Buy up those season tix!
  17. If you have read my posts, I said we need an upgrade at the 4 and 5 spot. Not hard to figure out.
  18. I don't really like it. Our bullpen is pathetic the way it is. Why weaken it more? Can't trust this front office to bring in top notch relievers.
  19. I haven't given up on him either. But he isn't ready for a rotation spot with an avg of 4 2/3 innings per start. He definitely needs to work on multiple things, especially location. He taxes our bullpen every start. And we saw how inept our BP was. Festa is in the same boat. We need 2 reliable starters added to our big 3. We can't have another year like this year.
