  1. I was lucky enough to be sitting five rows up from the plexiglass in left field in '87 for the sixth game... As I remember, it was pretty quiet through the first four innings. I'd have to go look at the box score, but my recollection is that the Cardinals scored the first run or two. Then something changed. Maybe it was the pent up frustration of four Super Bowl losses bubbling up, but for the rest of the game we were all on our feet--screaming. The crowd was not going to let the Twins lose. You could feel it. That night, we were definitely the tenth man. Watching the seventh game the next night, my ears were still ringing.
  2. Over under on Gallo's strikeouts? I say two. (Now hopefully he proves me wrong and hits one out with a couple on base, lol...) Seriously, though, I can't understand why we haven't cut bait yet on him. Must be the $11 million we are giving him? I know it's easy for me to say, but isn't it time to admit he's a mistake? And call up some of the kids raking at St. Paul?
  3. When was the last time Gallo had a hit?
  4. When I looked at the line up for the game... saw Buxton and Gallo penciled in, with Correa (could have DH'd) and Kepler sitting, I figured we would only score a couple of runs. I was optimistic, obviously.
  5. Somebody... Anybody should pinch hit for Buxton his next time up.
  6. He needs something, obviously. Right now he's a drag on the lineup. If it were based on performance, there's no way he'd be in the the three hole or even in the line up. Maybe surgery on his knee again? Aim for '24. Because the '23 Buxton isn't doing himself or the team any good.
  7. Why is Buxton batting third? Why is he batting at all? Maybe a stint on the IL would be good for him?
  8. I would gladly pay $15 a month to watch the Twins. I just hope they include home games. I think being able to watch your favorite club play all of their games would make you want to attend a game in person even more. Any rumors about whether the home schedule will be blacked out?
  9. Wow... This kid just can't catch a break. If he comes back next year and plays to the level it appears he is capable, it will be an awesome feel-good story. And if anyone can do it, it's him. But it sure feels like we're snake bit, doesn't it? Can't help but wonder what our season would look like if Gray, Buxton, Lewis, Kirilloff, etc etc were all healthy. This is just depressing....
