  1. Why so we can shut it when it's 75 with a slight chance of rain like the Brewers do. Those stadiums are ugly even when open.
  2. Were less then 50 days into the season and have had 5 non consecutive rain outs without a single pitch thrown, I bet that's never happened in the history of major league baseball. We've also had more then our share of scheduled off days so far.
  3. I really liked going into the year with a grand total of 1 exclusive DH/1B on the roster. Granted Grossman's. I like Vargas over Park, and Park has been awful so far in Triple A, but I'd prefer another player with some defensive skill, it's just hard to find anyone with HR power, but throughout a game and even in pinch hitting situations it's rare that a HR is so much better then a walk or a single. Vargas is what he is a very borderline major league player.
  4. And the rain has stopped probably for good
  5. I like that our amateur opinions are as opposite as can be.
  6. Looks like a huge hole in the storm after this wave. Something might pop up and hit the game but they should be able to avoid any delays. Santana should be good to go.
  7. This first big edge of the storm is so close to not hitting Target Field, I'd say it's 70-30 that it does but if it doesn't they can get 4 or 5 innings in before the potential delay hits. It shouldn't be a long one but at that point it might chase Santana, still I have to think the Twins prefer that over a 4th double header.
  8. Looking at the radar I wouldn't be shocked if Target field doesn't see much more then a sprinkle the rest of the night. Lightning will be close at game time even if they miss that part of the storm but I'd be shocked if they didn't get at least 5 in.
  9. Imagine Grossman trying to play an infield position
  10. This is looking like the pitchers duel we expected Sunday
  11. 1 run might be enough for Santana
  12. You get to keep 1st and 2nd inning runs the whole game
  13. That pitch was far worse then the one Mauer complained about Sunday.
  14. Just in case you're not aware that out was big
  15. Up until tonight I'd argue that but he looked like first week of the season Byron tonight with the defensive error erasing any credit I give him for dribbling a ball 50 feet in fair territory.
  16. If Buxton ever sees a pitch headed for the dirt on an 0-2 count he should be instructed to swing
  17. Buxton has been horrible tonight. Bench him tomorrow for not running out of the box.
  18. I'll let them tie it before I turn the batter into a .500 hitter with the potential winning run at second
  19. Bad defensive positioning is rarely a problem on strikeouts
  20. This would be a bad time for a double play ball can we get Besile back in
  21. Would that count as a caught stealing if he overslid the base
  22. Poor baserunning is leading to runs at a record pace tonight
