    May be I am too cynical at this point-- or may be I have lost my confidence in Terry Ryan-- but here are the free agents he is going to target:Justin Morneau, Delmon Young, Johann Santana and Matt Garza.He will land two of them-- not Garza.

    if Gardenhire leaves in a cordial fashion, i.e., retires so he can stay with the organization-- I would not be surprised if the Twins selected Scott Ulger or Terry Steinbach just because it sounds like something they would do. Not that it would please me.

    The Twins have virtually wasted Mauer's contract by not surrounding him with good players to make a run. The front office not just the coaching staff, needs a new direction and a clean slate. I would start there -- St Peter, Ryan, Smith, Antony -- the whole bunch need to go.

    What are the odds he gets his 1000th win with the Twins? Need to finish 3-4 in the last seven games for him to do it this year. 3-4 is a stretch. Is there a chance for next year or does it happen with a different team, if ever?

    Watching the commercials and the Fox North Girls - I noticed Jenny is missing. Did she get traded?

    I would bring back Johan Santana just because he is Johan Santana. A wounded Johan Santana would be more fun to watch than most members of the current rotation.

    another 10 home runs and 25-30 rbi's should be enough to give him a shot:) that would be decent!

    Great post-- I hope what you suggest comes true. Maybe you should become a scout:) On a side note-- I was at the game Sunday and I know we're all excited* about Pinto, Doumit, Parmalee and Plouffe's contributions (and we should be as Twins fans) but Will Myers home run was a monster-- second deck high blast that took me back to my youth watching Harmon Killebrew's homers! *I know the Twins are going no where in a hurry-- but I am an excitable boy.

    Wasn't that an issue with Melky Cabrera last year? He came short (maybe by a couple)on PA but hit .346 to Posey's .336. Posey won the batting championship. Did Melky's alleged PED use factor into this?

    I agree --but has Colabello moved out of the AAAA status? He turns 30 next month a week before Thomas does.

    "If we dare hope" are the key words here. I think we all dared to hope Chris Parmalee's September a few years ago would translate into actual season results. We should not place too much emphasis on September production, but we can hope. Doumit and Willingham's tenure with the Twins will be short lived. Doumit probably is not on the 25 man roster next April and Willingham more than likely is moved in July if not before.

    Dozier is 26. Born May 15, 1987.

    Dozier is now our top RBI and HR guy--- we have to keep him in the lineup.

    They do have money to spend-- so maybe it's a vacation for Radcliff doubling to create fan interest:) Then when they don't get him they can say they tried. They wouldn't do that would they? Did they send a high level front office guy to scout Nishi? Or did they just buy on the hype?
