  1. Minor league goes 8-12 against the majors. Twins will have at least 5 games with 5 hits or fewer.
  2. I've got nothing better to do, so hope it isn't rained out. No one at Hammond this morning so the Miracle must be practicing this aft. Maybe Nolasco can catch lightning in a bottle and we get a win. I'd hate to see us start out around 6-14 for the first 20 games. I see 12 hits for the Twins today, and 7 runs should do it.
  3. This thread is about batting title. No need to toss that stuff in here.
  4. My hope is Ploof will be gone. He'll never be on a winning team.
  5. The minor leaguers break camp today, with one last game at noon, Ft Myers vs GCL.
  6. what was it, two years ago I think that Terry Ryan told me Walker has more power than anyone on the team. It sure would be nice to see him pick up other parts of the game and make it to the bigs.
  7. Actually not alot of fans. Some relatives, including Buxton's folks and sister, and Daulton Hicks folks. Action on 3 fields though so it was scattered. Sacamento did take some photos. And he spent some time watching Sano get worked very hard.
  8. That he did. The first 3 in I think the 3rd inning. But he finished strong in the last 3 innings. He probably had around 7 k's in 6 innings today. Milone got hit around also, but not that bad. He gave up a run in the 1st on a Hicks double and Ortiz single. Hicks had at least 2 hits today as did Ortiz. Pelfrey sawed off Buxton to lead off the game, and all eyes were on the bat. But Byron ended up leaving with it. Walker hit 2 absolute bombs into the street, the last on off May. Pinto didn't look to good today, and on one play, runner on first took off for second and Pinto threw to first. Stand up stolen base.
  9. Injured it sliding, but worked his tail off today. I'll leave the rest for Bob.
  10. Walker just crushed two into the street today, the first off Pelfrey and the second off May.
  11. Sorry about the confusion. They both showed up one spring looking much bigger thru the chest. I noticed, as did the clubies and grounds keepers. It was obvious, as that kind of change just doesn't happen over the off season.
  12. Milone and Pelfrey are staying behind to pitch tomorrow according to the announcers for todays game. And the games are at 10 am.
  13. Tony Thomas, huh, that surprises me.
  14. So Milone and Pelfrey pitch in the minos tomorrow morning. I'll make that for sure.
  15. Forest Allday coming in to pitch for the Twins. Where are these guys coming from.
  16. I went over. The minor league games started at 10 and are done. Tomorrow at 10 also. Ticket takers are still at the gates, though alot of people are leaving. Found out the joke in the club house was to swing at the first pitch and get it over with. Pitchers grooving the first one.
  17. I've been sick for 10 days. But I might go over in awhile. They quit charging parking after the 2nd, so I'm close.
  18. Alot of first pitch swings today. Must be anxious to get on the plane.
  19. Hey, Poof got an on target throw!
  20. I don't have to see it, it's frozen in my memory bank. Mark my words........................
  21. I've got a hunch Gibson will be working on something today in his last tune up, so may get hit around a bit. Same thing could be true for the other side though. This line up just doesn't look quite right without Escobar at the corner.
  22. That was a big blow to all Twins Nation. So this season will be what it will be. Maybe it'll bring more youngsters up later on which will be interesting anyway. I still look to 2018 as the big year for us.
