  1. Not sure anyone has doomed it.
  2. I posted 2, 3 years ago I had doubts that Buxton would ever turn out as he couldn't hit. By now everyone has seen hit try and I still have those doubts. Though I really hope he can figure it out since he's a treat to watch in the outfield. Now most agree he should be in the minors and gain confidence. The thing is, he doesn't need to gain confidence, he needs to learn how to hit. His current style doesn't carry over to the bigs no matter how he hits in AAA. He needs a whole new approach. I think maybe he should be working with Chad Allen and start from scratch for the rest of the season. He's young, there's still time, and that spring training word "hope" that eventually he'll become a major league capable hitter.
  3. Sano says "it ain't me babe, no no no, it ain't me babe. It ain't me you're lookin' for babe."
  4. Fire wood!
  5. The Gibson painting could hang on my wall!
  6. Since Plouffe last played on July 1st the Twins have gone 18-11. That in a way confirms my thoughts on him all along the last few years.
  7. Leave Plouffe down for as long as the rules allow.
  8. Quick turnaround game so Molitor switches up the lineup some. Mauer is hot! To bad this isn't on tv here.
  9. Didn't I see it flashed across the screen that Plouffe went back on the DL and is out for the season. If so, I'm sick. We'll never get rid of him, or can we trade a guy on the DL?
  10. It means someone is trying to make a living spewing this stuff out.
  11. Having watched Max since he came to the states I had hopes for a MLB career for him. He started slow, injuries, etc and it took some time. I was thrilled when he got a cup of coffee last year, and when he came up this season. What he's doing now though was beyond my wildest dreams. He'll come back to earth but this has been a joy so far. Gotta love his attitude.
  12. NO, and that's all I've seen thus far in the thread.
  13. The guys are having fun, and it spills over to TD!
  14. Huh........someone just described me for like a 20 year period. My advice not to have a hangover - don't drink.
  15. Some think the trade was all about Meyer. The Angels gambled that he will have a future, where we pretty much had invested enough time to call it quits.
  16. The page must of blown up, as I couldn't get on either. When's the last time that has happened?
  17. That was a good day, all around. Fun to see Max have a great night, and I like how he responds to questions afterwards. I've been believing that they can compete next year and that's not going to change.
  18. 4 more minutes to get rid of Plouffe and make my day complete!
  19. I sold a Mantle card this summer for 3,900! I've still got a lot of cards, but not worth much as the grading system is really picky. Not really worth paying to have them graded so I'm thinking on what to do with them.
  20. I was looking for that hard top convertable I saw on the lot a couple days ago. Did it sell? Never hesitate when you see your dream car.
  21. So did TR get fired or resign?
  22. "Very easy to agree with the importance of a Blyleven or Morris.Santana is neither." I agree totally with that. But we need someone to step on the mound next year with a little better than 50-50 chance of getting a win. I don't see anyone coming back in a Santana trade fitting that criteria.
  23. Meaning what I've said all along, the rotation needs a veteran to lead it and he's the best we have right now. Have you looked at the rotations that some posters have put up for next year with the young guys? We really be a bad team with only those guys next year. I'm hoping for at least some improvement toward a .500 team in 2017 anyway.
