  1. Thanks , If we were to trade for them , where would you rank them in our system?
  2. Other then the Kids, and the DH , all we have a 4th and 5th outfielders, why sign another? Just saying Davis had a 1.8 WAR last year dispite having a Neg.-D-WAR
  3. If the Twins are serous they need to trade for Both Matt Wisler and Burch Smith, Both were said to be avalible , whats your take on these 2 compared to Meyer?
  4. I tried AA but i got lost after 5 steps:th_alc:
  5. Who lead the Twins in RBIs last season? And he didnt finish the season with the Twins ....
  6. Padres interested in Liam Hendriks???? lets put together a package for Burch Smith and his buddy Wisler, they were both taken in the 2011 darft, like #9 and #14....if we get these 2 players , I am friggin stoked from the off season and will think we have a much brighter future
  7. We would be better served trading for Johnny Monell , then signing Buck ...just saying As for Bronson , 2 years yes, 3 years no. And if they are thinking of extending Correia--- oh hell no...dont do it
  8. While Burch is avalible apperently so is there #5 prospect Wisler, If Perkins is involved we need to package him for both AA pitchers
  9. Prefer to trade with San diego for Burch Smith and Wisler ,both played in AA last year with great stats, the Padres are looking for a lefty reliever and a lefty bat , Parmelee and perkins , with maybe Worley or diamond and a 10-20 prospect should be more then enough for these 2 , who would be in the top 7 for the Twins , and should be ready around the same time as Meyer
  10. Trading for left handed hitting Domonic Brown , may not be the best idea ,if we are looking to upgrade the defense in the outfield, Brown and Willingham posted the same D-War last year , and we know how Target field treats Left handed power hitters
  11. Agreeing the Twins should be looking to upgrade any where they can , And if the price is right It would be a good move. Another posible target is Burch Smith , this guy has better stats and the same upside as Meyer, The Padres are looing for left handed relief , to me even if it took Perkins , I make the move
  12. By adding quality free agents now , we have trade chips to add top prospects in the future if some of our own dont work out, building for today and tomarrow
  13. Be nice to pickup outfield help ,maybe trade Perkins and Worley for Gardner and J.Sanchez Even if we had to add in Bard or another prospect not in the top 15 to get it done
  14. 1 Question, He has a negetive D-WAR , Dont we want a plus defensive outfielder with speed? so would that limit him to DH? And we are kind of full in that area
  15. wheres the like button , If we could get him for a decent package, it doesnt mean we have to keep him. It would be nice to buy low for a change , and then trade him for a bigger package if he has a good 1st Half. Un less Terry is going after some one better then Nolasco , why not buy that lottery ticket,if we could swing the deal for say Rosario, Bard and Doumit or Parmelee
  16. Said it yesterday, About the Twins only chance is to go oppisite of the other teams who will want 5-7 year deals, selling him on a short contract 2+1 years , letting him get his feet wet and established in the majors , then becoming a free agent at an early age with a proven tract record
  17. interesting , the Yankees spent about the same to add 2 elite players , and they wont be on the hook in 9 more years, so while Me thinks Cano is the top 2b in baseball today, come 2014 look for some numbers to go down in his power department. I applaud the Yankees for making a wiser baseball decision ,Reminds me of the Cards and Albert
  18. If Terry made this signing , it would be proof of what some are already thinking, ....the pod people have stolen Ryan
  19. I have no problem with Doumit saying my health is more important then your team.... But he needs to understand the team may have to move on from him .... thanks for your time here and best wishes doumit
  20. Look at the money the Yankees saved , not having to bribe another comish. to void the contract in season 6.
  21. Couldnt we add a couple of contracts on 2-3 years , that we would flip come july to help continue to build a farm system? The money is there to use, If we would bank some of that love for the future It wouldnt bother me , but like most government jobs , if you dont use it you lose it. So lets target a couple of players in the mid tier range that we can flip for prospects
  22. To me it sounds just the oppisite , the big market teams have more money , (maybe less under the soft payroll cap, but more money) I do think the Twins could or should bid on Tanaka, but take a slightly different approach, offer him a contract of 2+1 years , explain to him that by coming to Minnesota he will get a chance to establish himself in the Majors and then will be a free agent at the age of 28 with a proven track record , while other teams are trying to lock him up for 5-7 years we should go the other direction. To me that is are only chance, and if he is good , we can always try and extend him .
  23. If he does get claimed and then turns into a decent starter, what would the fans say about the coaching situation with the Twins?
  24. The Twins would have been better off signing Wil Nieves then giving up part of the future for Aoki, but thats just me
  25. Another way to narrow the gap between runs allowed and runs scored is to tighten up the defense, Bringing in Juan Uribe to play 3rd and starting Mastroianni,Hicks and Presley in the outfield 80% of the time would go a long way to helping the defense. It would kill the offense, but the ole adage pitching and defense wins titles, started some where .
