    You sir are correct we need pitching, but sadly we need more then just 3 quality new starters to compete.Im not completly sold on Salty as our answer to catching position especially if it is 3-4 years, but it is a start, if we can add a quality catcher and a couple of starters who are 2nd tier...aka... Garza,Jimenez type ,we have a shot at getting to .500

    Agreeing,but only if we sign all 3 ,Spend the money, spend it early build hope early and watch as the ticket sales climb...The fans of the Twins want nothing more then to cheer for this team , and we have proven we will support them...Its just up to Terry and Co. to put a championship caliber team on the field

    Maybe that is something they need to look at... some famouse manager said in the early 1900s it is better to trade a guy 1 year to early , then to trade him 1 year to late..(Connie M.) Also look at Tampa and there system , trade them 2 years before,why,because if they have a bad year they can still bring him back and get a good year out of them and trade the player on the upside rather then on down swing...Just sayin

    If we sign Salty, 1 of 2 things will happen 1 He has a good season and we trade his undervalue contract for a package of prospects. 2.He has a bad season and we have to keep him. But by signing him,the team is sending a message that they are ready to spend on quality...

    Tanaka or bust....Me says If not we will end up with Bruce Chen and Arroyo. Why not get some thing new, some thing better. Move Terry out of his comfort zone and sign quality, instead of quanity....

    My question is what about the Twins allstar bump? isint that going to be 30 million or more? couldnt that be used to help make the bid? 25 million , new tv revenue 30 million ,allstar bump.... Thats a start , I believe we will see a 70 million dollar bid finish 3rd or 4th...but to me thats the most we should bid.

    If I won the lottery I would find a doctor who would prescribe me Chantex to quit smoking.... Last august down here in mexico I called and set an appointment to see a doctor about getting a script for Chantex, When I walked into his office he looked up and saw my Twins hat, and asked me if I was a fan , I said yes , he informed me I was already a high risk for suicide just by being a twins fan ...even down here they know horse ploop when they smell it =(

    Well as a fan of section 219 , I will quote howard, there are only a dozen or so players worth keeping on the 25 man roster., so there is plenty of dead wieght that can be jettisoned prior to setting the 40 man roster, in fact I am surprised Ryan hasnt been working the Phones trying to package some of these players to obtain prospects we dont have to protect or to get players we would want to protect...My keepers start with pitching ,Cause thats our biggest need, Dean ,Darnell and Wimmers and we should keep 2b-ss Polanco and Vargas

    While Bronson Arroyo is hands down a better starter then any thing the twins had last year , he is once again what a Ryanite would covet, a soft tossing controll pitcher....While having 1 or 2 in your rotation is ok having 5 makes it to easy for the opposing team, no contrast

    1 After watching old reruns of the AWA, and seeing the killer BEEs, Terry will decide to resign Baker,Bonser,Blackburn and Butera. 2Terry will seek to change the name of the team to the Minnesota Hornets, and create new uniforms of black and gold stripes. 3.In october at the org.meetings Terry will quit when he doesnt recieve his payroll cutting bonus. 4.Owner Jim Pohlad replaces Ryan with Carrot Top as the new GM 5.Carrot Top fires Gardy, when asked why, he states...Duh, the guy is 3 steps behind every game , he lost his DH while carring 3 catchers and what we pay to keep him in sunflower seeds is to much. 6.2016 The Hornets win the world series under GM Carrot Top, when asked how he did it , he replied I got a real manager , and got out of his way. 7.2014 The Twins earn there largest profits ever. 8.Dispite pocketing an extra 30+ million from hosting the All Star game, none of it is used to bolster the payroll(ownership claims it is just a bonus for them building a new stadium and is not a yearly income) 9. Joe Mauer plays 10% more games and increases his stats by 15% 10. Drew Butera makes the 25 man roster some time during the regular season.

    If Nolasco wants crazy money and to many years,Why not Target E.Jackson, he has 3 years left at 13 million per, his numbers have to be close to Nolasco.Then adding Arroyo(2years) and Johnson(1 +1 ..1 year 9 million and an option year at 16 million) and hope 2 of the 3 work out. Jackson while struggling still had better numbers then over half of the 11 pitchers the Twins ran out and has a better upside

    Mediocre or bust? Lets look at that word mediocre, it means average? slightly above or below. If we have a starting rotaion that is mediocre, that would mean it is ranked some where between 13th and 18th....a big jump from worst in all of baseball, so I to say .... Mediocre or Bust

    Yes sir , after 20 years maybe he has learned his lesson =) we can hope.Right? Off subject,was nice to see May have a nice AFL, and maybe has pitched himself into a looksy for the Rotation ,you know if we dont sign tanaka,garza either santana or jimenez

    So with Castro already on the Cubs and Bryant and Baez soon to join them , you think sending them a 2b and 3b is something they are interested in? Look to fill the holes they have,not to add depth to there minor leaques.As for Berrois , sure trade him.Adding Jackson to the trade is about the same as signing Nolasco , but with only 3 years instead of 4...

    Why not include E.Jackson in the trade as Theo has stated he was mabye premature in signing him (code for that didnt work out )this would allow the Cubs to chase Tanaka or who ever Else they taget...and we get 2 pitchers who were better then Half of the players we ran out to the mound last year as starters. Include Correia(cheaper and better then Jackson) Duensing (gonna save Ryan some green) Fien and Bard, Since Theo signed his brother this looks like a good match or landing place for him

    really already? I have read 50+ infractions in 2 days and he brought up Jackson.. but it is your barbeque , guess i just dont fit in ...happy thanks giving
