    An asset is some thing you can sell or trade ,for value.....

    Maybe Im not saying it correctly, why spend any money if you cant make a profit off of it? Why sign a player who has no value to another team? Especially when you are in a rebuilding stage, why not sign F.A. that can help your team, (and help sell season tickets) And who can later be traded for quality prospects? To me if you spend 21 million ,You should be able to trade that value , or it is not an asset, but a debit....

    While Span had a team friendly contract ,Ben was cheaper.So im guessing Terry wanted to see what value both had , and decided hey lets trade them both,Because we had Mastroianni ,with Hicks and Benson in the wings

    Kewl, But as i said , why sign an asset , that has no value to others?

    And for the record, this may end up being a blessing for us , Having a healthy Josh as a primary DH next year, especially if we find quality pitching this off season

    Here is where you and Ryan agree. Me no, when signing a free agent , you want to add an asset, something of value to the team and to other teams, especially when you think you may end up in a rebuilding phase.

    He was better then Josh, not an fleet footed allstar ,by a long shot . But we continue to take well rounded players and change them out for players who are 1 dimensional....But cheaper

    Wrong answer, ignore , abort, try again!!!!!! You take a classic DH and make him your starting outfielder, on a pitch to contact team....Not a smart move .

    Think teams with quality shortstops or shut down starters in AA or AAA Boston ,Cleveland ,Pittsburg....Just saying

    If JIm and the rest of the boys believe the team is such a low value why are tickets and tv fees so high?

    They spent less in 2012 then they paid for Sano...in fact didnt they spend about 2.5 million? Plus here is the big piture ,it was the last chance to grab every avalible player with out restrictions .....and we need help in 2 areas middle infield and a slew of starting pitchers.... Instead we just hired an extra brinks truck to haul the extra profit to the owners bank

    According to Mike Radke, the Twins will be seeking 8 to 10 nternational signings with there 3.9 million dollar allotment. I do hope we are in the hunt for at least 1 of the top 3 shortstops avalibe to be signed

    Lets take a look from behind the rose colored glasses,we suck, we had just lost 99 games, our minor leaque system was middle of the road....We had just cut 17 million from a profitable payroll(ownership made money)And we knew it was the final year to spend freely(yes i understand spending freely and Terry Ryan dont go together),Instead of doing what Texas did , we did the bare minimual or close to it....

    Amen, why would we create another hole by trading Glen , if we cant at least fill a Hole by doing so?

When did a handful of majic beans become more valuable then the real deal? yes Glen is 30 years old, and tonight wasnt it a 43 year old who closed out the game against us? Perkins is proven , he is cheap , he is team controlled for 3 years....If it aint a good package DONT TRADE HIM

    To me (a Gardy hater) Ron has done just fine by Thielbar, Let him get his feet wet ,without having to carry the team on his back, but i do agree, maybe it is time to see what he can do in more situations.

    1 Is a Tommy John canidate, and the other will probally spend 2 to 3 years struggling as a starter before he moves to the bullpen
