  1. Price for Sano is a no to me automatically, 2 years left , but I would have to think about Hamel, 5 years left on contract , along with about 105 million, for a guy in AA who struggled and is now hurt....Makes me think a little, In the end I to wanna see this guy in a Twins uniform hoping for a 250-.275 hitter with a ton of power hitting in front of Buxton . But I still have to stop and think, A real Ace for 5 years .....
  2. A few moves that would get my blood pumping would of course be signing Tanaka, Or trading for Burch Smith and Matt Wisler. And finally signing Cuban shortstop A.Diaz if he is the real deal
  3. Maybe trade for Johnny Monell?
  4. I think the Twins need to decide if A.Diaz is good enough to play in the majors as a 2 way player, if so save the draft pick, and save the 10 million from Pelfrey and go all in on Diaz for 6-7 years, he will be coming up with the rest of the kids
  5. If the Twins are all in , maybe they should front load his contract ,4/64 20,20,12,12, that way if they want to trade him in a couple years, He has more value in trade, and we have the money now with the All Star bump and next year we have Ham,Correia and Burton coming off the books
  6. Colon? Nope nev-vA we have plenty of soft tossers who are cheaper and who didnt get suspended. Right now we have Nolasco 3/4 Correia 4/5 Hughes ? 4-14 last season...Hope Diamond 5/6 hope DeDuno 3/4 hope Worley 4/5 hope If we are going to add a pitcher, he needs to be a front of the Rotation , as we have plenty of options for the back end already at a cheaper price (omg , terry is rubbing off on me =) )
  7. Thanks I missed that .
  8. Now if they can trade for Kemp without losing there top 2 arms , and the kids step up , they have a shot at making the playoffs
  9. Simplest answers are often the truth, as for logic it is hard to believe it when 1 is so decidely bias. Do I believe that the Twins said look heres money dont talk , NO...But Me thinks that bringing him back takes some of the sting out of it and allows the Org. to controll some of the things he could say publicly
  10. He was hand picked by Terry , but with it came less authority, less power , they transfered some of it to Baseball people, inside the Org.
  11. If healthy Samuel DeDuno,If not Diamond , because he is left handed.
  12. They probally kept him around so they could controll what he said , Kinda hard to bash your boss and keep getting paid...
  13. To me it speaks louder that the Twins brought him back....
  14. Florimon or Drew? Ok in 6 months who is gonna have trade value? Who is going to have both a positive O-WAR and D-WAR? Which guy is going to have to bat 9th? As for money left to spend , we have around 48-55 million more avalible If Jim Pohlads 50-52 % is the bench mark. If we are going to sign a pitcher it better be a #2-3 type starter, why up grade your 4th or 5 spot?, when you already have 5 pitchers who are 4s and 5s, get the everyday player who is a big upgrade over the player he is replacing...C,3rd,SS,O.F.
  15. espn 1500 is reporting the only offer out there is to mike pelfrey, is that true?
  16. And a 3rd rounder is more important then a 2nd rounder? =) in for a dollar, in for a pound
  17. The Rockie just traded for Anderson
  18. Wouldnt we be better off saving the draft pick, and spend the money on A.Diaz?
  19. I guess we will have to agree to disagree, we are here now with Terry so I for 1 am hoping he does good this year,But our Mission statment this year should be to get to 70s in wins, and to add to the future , wether or not that is trading for kids, or signing and trading for quality players who will have trade value .As there really are not that many guys avalible who will be contributing to this team in 2015-2017 when we hopefully make a run at a title
  20. Terry Ryan, who has spent more than 24 years in the Twins organization as a minor league player or executive, has been named Senior Advisor to the General Manager. In Ryan's new role, he will assist the General Manager on all player evaluation matters including the major leagues, minor leagues and international operations. So while we dont know where he was, we know where he was suppose to be
  21. And where was his special senor advisior when this happened? After 20 years of failing to accomplsh what he was hired for, ( what is the Minnesote Twins mission statment?...W.S. champion) shouldnt this legacy employee finally be held accountible?
  22. You do realise we are currently under 2013s opening day payroll? If we go by owner Jim Pohlads word, of 50-52% then we have some where between 47.5 -55 million more in salary we could add
  23. Well after 5 years of bad Luck , it sure would be nice to catch a break and find some good mojo Me thinks 3 of Ham , Hicks Plouffe and Parmelee will produce close to what we expected,or hoped for last year....if not? Well once again we will discussing in mid june who we are going to trade, and for whom and what pick we will have in the 2015 draft
  24. Thank you , For me 2014 is probally more about getting into 70s win range, and I would love to head into 2015 Knowing we had Meyer, May, Smith ,Wisler and Gibson all pushing for spots in the Rotation.2 of them capible of being #1 type pitchers and the rest slotted for #2-3 range
