  1. If that is true, that makes most of the rest of the infielder just plain lousy. His defense numbers for last and this year are the best he ever had, and while all we spew out here are our opinions, that fact is probably why he was picked up.
  2. Price does not determine who might replace him, only important in your opinion.
  3. That IS what I said.
  4. Think again, Sanatana was not brought in for his bat and unless they want another gaping hole in the infield they will keep Santan or bring a glove as good as his in.
  5. Bigger is often not better.
  6. VERY interesting. Julien will be gone or stuck in AAA with the failed Lee, Martin experiment.
  7. Biggest needs: Resign Santana, Kepler and Farmer.
  8. Trade Jeffers for Rortvedt - Although - his batting average is up but his defense fell to Jeffers level this year. Some thing screwed him up.
  9. I agree and disagree; in 2023 we had Solano , Urshela and Taylor, and Big difference. It took Margot till the last two weeks of he season to remember how to play outfield, well; Third Base had Lewis and Miranda, neither of which were as good there as Urshela; First Base was better with Santana but Solano was better than any other Twin at First. IF Kepler, Santana and Farmer are gone next year, the Twins will look like a AAA team as they did in Sept.
  10. That is not retool, that is throw crap against the wall and see what sticks.🤢
  11. Wishful thinking on the good day and Shooting Craps the rest.
  12. You need a strong arm in Left Field NOT Right Field; Larnach has a week arm which would mean the opponents would have a field day with doubles or scoring from Second. Larnach's fielding history is FAR better in Right Field.
  13. That is a large crock of Bollocks; without Santana last year there would have a lot more players on first , or second, base to score against the Twins. Dissing the importance of 1st base is silly.
  14. Gallo had a great season before the Twins got him; Rooker could be another Gallo so Rooker brouhaha is wishful thinking at this point.
  15. They have enough young players to fight Chicago for 4th, and that is all.
  16. At best, both need to stay in AAA for a Long Time; more practical , cut them loose.
  17. One large sieve with the exception of Correa, while Miranda is still a better 3rd Baseman than Lewis.
  18. Kirilloff is a horrid First Baseman, time to let him fly away. Poor rookie defense was one reason the Twins faded into a abysmal team; they cannot afford years of pee-poor rookies, hoping for a at least one to be above average. With the team moves many post here, the Twins will be fighting to stay out of the basement for years.
  19. If Kirilloff is still around next year, It will Not be at 1st Base.
  20. They did Gordon and some others, which was not a mistake, so probably neither would be getting rid of some of these.
