  1. As a general rule I don't become unsettled by Gardy's vague ramblings about things he doesn't control. It is still a return issue first and foremost.
  2. Win games and scout well.
  3. This is the likely scenario. Twins are probably more likely to sign a corner of now.
  4. And I still assert it is about lack of value/return. There really is nothing said here that can prove it either way. But by all means remain unsettled.
  5. This is overstated. Twins just need to surround the young guys with better players.
  6. I'm happy for him and Pittsburgh. Fun story. It will be interesting to see if he can continue to dominate down the stretch and in the playoffs and back it up next season. As mentioned, he has had stretches like this before.
  7. I doubt it. People don't really mock concussion symptoms anymore. Do they?
  8. Arcia with the bad wrist, Mauer scratched because of dizziness (uh oh).
  9. On August 20, available players are 9 relievers and 1 bench player.
  10. According to Berardino Hendriks is likely to pitch Saturday for Gibson. Swarzak will probably pitch Friday if Deduno can't go.

    Liriano

Maybe this is the objective example that ends the Anderson era.
  12. Heading back to New Britain.
  13. I would consider the next paragraph for a more accurate assessment of why Morneau hasn't been traded.
  14. The head trainer was replaced last year.
  15. Could you instead swallow the reality that Morneau has no value? That seems to me to be the relevant point. The Twins aren't going to give him away for nothing.
  16. That's not exactly what he said.
  17. This violence talk makes it seemed like Mientkiewicz knifed him or something. There wasn't even a punch thrown.
  18. Punto once slid headfirst into first base on a bunt that went foul. That's amazing on multiple levels.
  19. Better options?
  20. I hope you're right.
  21. The Twins are far from unique for injuries. I think it has more to do with advanced medical diagnosis. Also increased velocity. Arms aren't designed to throw this many pitches this hard.
  22. I also don't wear pajamas to work.
  23. Good stuff Oxtung. Hopefully he rests up this offseason and comes back strong with improved control.
  24. I agree. The more I think about this the more I think it's awesome.
  25. This is a lame excuse. It would have a little validity if he as good for the first 4-5 starts and then started to fade, but he has been pretty poor from the time he came up. He got a decent amount of innings in last year so he shouldn't have been so toast after less than 100 minor league innings. I like Gibson and hope he does well, and the Twins surely need him, but we might want to start preparing for the fact that his stuff just might not be good enough.
