  1. Am I the only one underwhelmed by the return the Rockies got?
  2. Victorino to the Angels for Rutledge.
  3. I would acquire Benoit and another reliever and roll with it. I just don't think anyone that is a significant upgrade that we've discussed (Lucroy and Tulo) are really available.
  4. Avatars are born to be changed sir.
  5. Everything Vince Vaughn says makes me groan. I don't think it's the actor, it's the god-awful writing. To the point that people are doing this. Here's the truth a lot of people don't want to accept, most of the great stuff from Season 1 was McConaughey and Woody selling the hell out of it. The first season was one of the most overrated television shows in history and it's all to the credit of two amazing performances.
  6. I combed that page...how the hell did I miss that? Yeesh...thanks guys, very helpful.
  7. Knobby at his peak was a truly special player on a bad team. Hunter has been a pretty darn good player on a lot of good teams. Seems about the right ranking, though I'd possibly slide Knobby higher. (I think his falling out and post-career stuff has really held down his legacy)
  8. Brock, where were you able to get the monthly xFIP? In the earlier Gibson debate I was trying like hell to find them and couldn't.
  9. I think that's true and I think the GOP is becoming more aware of that fact. It may not matter though.
  10. By this logic we should cut bait on Glen Perkins too. Stick a fork in him even.
  11. For what it's worth, I remember hearing us put Hicks and Ramos up in the deal and were close to making it happen until Ramos got hurt again.
  12. Two hard hit but perfectly catchable balls dropped in the 7th and our closer got shelled. There are your three people to blame.
  13. Hicks definitely went. Joe West was the ump that had the same issue earlier in the year when Hunter lost it. Molitor shouldn't even be in that position, home plate umpires should always check down to the umps down the corners. He was right to tell him to check down on a close call.
  14. As someone who has known you for a long time Dave, let me just express how embarrassing this is for you. Your points are constantly all over the map and ridiculous. I'm sure there is somewhere more fitting for this quality of posting - like the Strib user comments or something.
  15. So...you abandon your earlier nonsense to shift gears? Is that what I am to take from this response?
  16. There needn't be one. He was sticking up for Hicks and telling the home plate umpire what he should have done. And he was right. Especially since this is the same ump we had an earlier issue with Hunter. That and his ejection had nothing to do with Hicks crappy read on a line drive or Escobar bumbling a play. Or the closer you keep telling us is a guarantee to win blowing the game.
  17. Yeah, cuz correlation equals causation.......
  18. You think a squeezed zone is why he laid one up to A-rod? Perkins was serving them up - the strike zone was never a factor.
  19. Especially if you invent them at your own whim.
  20. Seriously, the Molitor trolling on this is beyond ridiculous. Our closer blew the game. That's on the closer.
  21. I know this much, Perkins' performance is somehow Molitor's fault.
  22. What's the point of Dave being allowed to...... Eh, you all know what I'm going to say.
  23. So now we have to watch our setup games with a meager one run lead? Ugh.
  24. Hicks cannot read balls hit over his head and to his right. He frequently misreads those.
  25. He went, but Molly was right to do that.
