  1. Whew..good thing he's not embarrassing himself out there huh? I mean....WHEW! Just think how dumb he'd look at third amiright?
  2. No one is denying the popularity, but that doesn't excuse terrible decisions and they made some real doozies this year. Most of them centered on Glenn,
  3. I don't think it's completely a coincidence that Arcia being in the lineup has helped this team.
  4. I wonder how much of this we'll see all year given the make-up of this team. The make-up of htis offense makes me think we'll see a lot of feast and famine stretches.
  5. I think he's working as a sleeper agent for the Twins.
  6. I'm glad they are moving faster on this than they did in the past.
  7. It's not so much that I want to give up on Tyus, I just look at Dunn as a guy people rank pretty highly in terms of talent, so I guess my question is - is he talented enough for us to overlook a need if he's there?
  8. I don't have time to follow college basketball closely and I hear a lot of Hield, but what about the PG Dunn? It seems like he's a lot like Ricky in both good and bad ways, but one of the biggest issues with the second unit has been the drop-off when Ricky leaves the court. There is also Ricky's injury prone track record to consider. Would adding someone like him in the draft and going after a PF/shooter in the offseason be a possibility? (I don't know enough about Dunn to really say, other than reading some things that made me think)
  9. Let it breathe for a few hours and then hit em again with the "Scotty Ulger" version.
  10. That's a damn fine post nick, you nailed some angles on that I would've never though of and hit the nail right on the head.
  11. If Sano goes back to third, that whole RF situation becomes totally indefensible.
  12. Well, there is an abundance of factual evidence to the point. I guess he might be able to hit well in a tee ball game, but major league pitching has been a dumpster fire.
  13. I share the Karen Page hate. She's unbelievably reckless and stupid. As in yell "What the hell?" at your TV as the show is happening. She's easily the worst part of an excellent show. And this makes sense to talk about here, rumors are flying that the Defenders starts shooting later this year, putting all the shows on pause until after that.
  14. If we get a 2-2.5 WAR player we already won the trade.
  15. You can tell Arcia has lost some extra weight he needed to, he's looked better in many respects. Though I still would call this defensive alignment the "All Doubles" defense. So far it hasn't cost us and I'm happy to see Oswaldo getting ABs.
  16. Which, given the fact that Aaron Hicks can't hit, makes it an interesting option to explore to solve the catching issue. I agree that there were better options over the last few years, but we have more upside in this trade if you can just accept that Hicks isn't any good.
  17. He's sure looked good so far. He's driving the ball well.
  18. I actually kind of liked it. Then again I thought he'd be the 1A in the catching rotation. I fully admit to that being a fool's hope, but I knew we wouldn't miss Hicks. We're worried about Buxton, Hicks has hundreds of futile at-bats to prove his true talent.
  19. Hicks isn't very good. People are going to have to accept that.
  20. A foot lower and that's Sano's knee. Maybe less than a foot.
  21. But rather than push him off (or even allow it to possibly happen) they took they significantly younger, higher upside, better performer and pushed HIM to another position. The Twins seem to either clear all competition and open the door wide (see: CF) or they defer to vets. I don't want to see Plouffe given away, but he's an overrated player around here.
  22. Or worse, going towards the right wing. Changing things only matters if you, ya know, actually get it changed. Clinton is right to keep hammering the point home that Bernie is good at proclaiming what is wrong, but he's got absolutely no plan for fixing it that would ever happen in this universe.
  23. He's looked bad, but his injury history is a factor in my patience. I think he's been rushed and we're judging him unfairly for being put in a spot he's not ready for.
  24. One fear though, is that her name alone generates a lot of fear and loathing from right-wingers. I'm not sure how much they'd cooperate with her. But her chances are infinitely better than Sanders.
  25. I don't think you can fix his defense unfortunately, he just isn't built to be a good defender.
