  1. Yeah, that was the most fillery episode of filler I've seen in awhile.
  2. This line of questioning continues and it gets even worse. It's pointed out to Bernie that legally he may not have any ground to stand on and his response is "I haven't studied the legal aspects". So you haven't even studied if it's plausible but you're stumping on it? That seems like a rather massive oversight. It continues when he says he can't cite anything that people did wrong but continues to promise that he'll prosecute them. Just, unacceptable.
  3. It's unfortunate the first game boiled down to a battle of the bullpens. Let's hope we have as few of those as humanly possible this year or Trevor May's arm will fall off trying to bail us out.
  4. Over, but it'll be close. I think they are probably an 80 win team this year as we fully transition.
  5. I'm looking forward to Ezekiel and the war with the Saviours. I just wish they would have really let the emotions hit us. This isn't a storyline cliffhanger you can hide. This will get spoiled just as the Glenn swerve did. They gutted what could have been an epic fade to black moment with a copout. The producers argument on why they did it (the story we were telling ends there, who dies and how they react is next) is insultingly dumb too.
  6. Tobi, I really hope your theory is wrong. I'm pretty sick of young guys getting thrown under the bus to the press, but I can't deny that it is possible. Hope you're wrong, there are so many better ways to handle it.
  7. I think Sano is 220 right now. That statement has just as much validity ad Morris pulling numbers out of his rear end.
  8. Maybe, but cutting weight isn't the same for everyone. I've found that I simply can't go below a certain threshold before I start losing muscle. You see this from former offensive lineman all the time - yeah, they cult the bulk and got chiseled, but they cut a lot of muscle bulk in the process too. There is probably some room for Sano and the Twins to refine him to be the best he can be, but that's between the Twins and Sano and the Twins are on the record about not caring about the issue and being comfortable with where he is. So any speculation to the contrary is really just character digs at our best player. Which I find bafflingly unnecessary.
  9. I don't think you understand how this works. I'm commonly assumed to weigh about 20 pounds less than I do but I carry about 20 pounds of muscle that people don't recognize right away. Muscle - especially around the shoulders and neck like Sano has - adds a lot. I sincerely doubt, even if he wanted to, that Sano could get below 250. Not without cutting muscle.
  10. Muscle weighs more than fat, quit getting hung up on the damn number. It's why the Twins are smartly worried about body fat not weight.
  11. Yes, Sano is not chiseled. But since when does "not chiseled" = "lazy"?
  12. Do you know what linebackers are? C'mon now.
  13. Right, because if you judge health purely by weight you'll be lead to think The Rock is obese. So, yeah...that's a dumb way to analyze things.
  14. Well, they are in the Virgina/DC area now but your point still stands. But after the "Glenn survives a hundred zombies" BS of this season they have officially made sure the zombies are a distraction, not a threat.
  15. That scene should have been Walking Dead's Red Wedding. And they totally screwed it up.
  16. The comic has relied on coming up with inventive, interesting villains. Negan fits that, but it does need to explore some different themes. The show bounces from theme to theme within minutes, seemingly forgetting what it was doing just an episode prior.
  17. Basically, they handled issue 100 very well up to the point of denying us who took the beating. They left who got chosen for it as a cliffhanger. They spent 80 minutes of meh leading up to 9 minutes of pretty damn good leading to 1 minute of pure outrage. It's at least the third clumsy, stupid cliffhanger of just this season. The show does just enough to make me not abandon it, but boy it's getting harder. My wife is already pretty much peaced out of it and she was really into it around season 2/3.
  18. Sano's weight and the Twins should be between Sano and the Twins. Reusse accomplishes nothing with this but character assassination. That's really all this boils down to.
  19. That's just it - set photos will leak and we'll have the answer spoiled long before the first episode. Meaning they completely pulled the rug out of what should have been a traumatically emotional scene for the sake of a stupid cliffhanger.
  20. This show can't get out of its own damn way. As soon as they start touching something approaching a well executed plot or scene they screw it all up somehow. BS cliffhangers are the worst.
  21. Depending upon the post he's supposedly gained somewhere between 20 and 600 pounds. But, Gleeman sure seemed to think he had lost weight from the end of last year.
  22. I agree Chi, as I said earlier, if this truly is an issue it is best left to his friends, manager, and team officials to handle behind closed doors. This serves absolutely no purpose but to rile up concerns over speculation while overlooking glaringly awesome things about what he has overcome.
  23. Eddie's got that "it" or "gamer" factor to him - I think he's going to be just fine. I look forward to having him and Kepler in the OF sooner rather than later.
  24. No, the problem is trashing a 22 year old on the basis of a bunch of flimsy nonsense. With every post you inflate the amount of weight we're talking here. But by all means, tear the kid down. I'm sure that will accomplish....something. What and what value it has I'm completely lost on.
  25. As opposed to preparing for his parade upon release? I admit, some of my saltiness with this is purely by how cultish the Avery support is. This could be useful as part of a larger defense, but it looks mighty weak as a smoking gun.
