The anti-Rocco cult is not welcoming of logic and nuance. Such thoughts are foreign and scary to them. -
This is correct. Here's my spin on it: People are constantly arguing that Rocco is a robot. That all decisions are determined hours beforehand. You know what I saw? A manager who knows his team's over/under for runs scored right now is about 1.5 because he's fielding a AA lineup. So he put his best out there in hopes of giving the offense light at the end of the tunnel that if they could just get 1, they'd have a chance to pitch with the lead and win. He swung for the fences trying to give his anemic offense a chance. I'm not sure direct steroid injections would work, but he's trying.

Another one that needs to be gold plated and posted at the top of every thread. But we've played this game before: "Well intentioned" Rocco-obsessed posters: Rocco is to blame for everything! Others: Well....data says the team is league average in starter usage, data suggests that the patterns you claim to be true are false, data shows your complaints appear to have no legs. Etc. "Well intentioned" Rocco-obsessed Posters : I'm being attacked! You can't defend anything! Prove it! Others: I....just did? Here...let me try again...*repeats themselves for the eleventy millionth time* "Well intentioned" Rocco-obsessed Posters: Nuh uh! *Repeats original claims again as if the entire prior conversation didn't exist* Rinse, repeat every freaking day.

Turner and Gink aren't the only options for rotations. We know that Pace is a poor pass defender. We know we blitz a lot of linebackers. There is nothing stopping us, on passing downs, from having Gink, Greenard, Turner, and Cashman all on the field. He's going to get his reps and opportunities. It's the beauty of playing such a malleable defense.

He'll get on the field, I think he's due for a big year. I bet they move Gink or Greenard inside to rush more often this year.

The UDFA haul was pretty damn good. Batty and Logan Brown were both highly thought of prospects pre-draft.

I could see him as the punt returner too. Kid runs hard and clearly has juice. I can't say I watched much of this guy play, but the highlight reels I pulled this morning show some things to like. He doesn't have the makings of an elite player, but he's tough as hell with the ball in his hands.

I've been very vocal that I feel the NFL still has issues with racism and black quarterbacks and head coaches. I think it's undeniable. I don't think that's the case here. Deion has actively stated he intends to coach his kid in the NFL. He pulled that dumb stunt with the jersey retirements at Colorado. They limited the way he interacted with teams in the draft process. One of the key decision-makers in a draft room is the current head coach. Why on earth would you sign on to draft a player whose dad - an NFL legend and current college coach - is actively campaigning to take your job? It's such a recipe for nonsense that I don't blame teams for avoiding it all. I think Sanders is actually a pretty good QB prospect. He had a TERRIBLE offensive line last year and it makes the tape really tough to watch. But this slide isn't about his talent or his race. It's his dad.

It's not hard to read between the lines and think that KOC and the offense were pushing hard for this one.

I love Harvey or Martinez. Martinez is one of my favorite players in this draft.

I think they plan to have a loaded number of picks next year and this year is slow played.

Not sure, but Jihad Campbell, the two safeties, maybe Burden, kick Conerly or Simmons inside. It'd just be nice to land another pick is all. If the Vikings believe this is their long term LG, well then I hope they nailed it.

I can't fault them for investing in the line. That said, the Giants just dealt 34, 99, and a 3rd for 25. I think I'd have taken that if I was Kwesi.
