  1. Dick spent all of the last two months of the season telling me how great Pat Light was. What gives?
  2. Nothing about this team makes me want to watch them. I still will because it is ingrained in me but I will hate every minute of it.
  3. This reminds me of the "Joe Mauer is in the best shape of his life" articles.
  4. Terry has said that was his best trade ever because he didn't think he'd be able to find anyone to take a 27 year old former 20 game winner off his hands.
  5. The Future's game was the same day the Gophers hired Dan Monson. Just a lovely day.
  6. I find him gratingly annoying and do not enjoy his brand of comedy. Plus, I do not care how some celebrity reacts to "their" team's performance. But that's just me.
  7. I have long felt Maddon was the most overrated manager in the game. It is my opinion that he does most every in-game move to try and outsmart the other manager. In my opinion he has made some really awful mistakes such as basically every pitching move to remove his starter in any game, his usage of Chapman, and his lineups. Of course, I look at him as a smug jackass that thinks he is smarter than everyone so I am not unbiased and probably have an unwarranted vendetta against him. I agree, the Cubs won in spite of him. I went back and forth between who I was rooting for all series long. Every time they showed Lebron I rooted for the Cubs. Then they showed Bill Murray and I switched back to Cleveland. And lastly, now that the Cubs have won they are no different than any other big market team that tries to buy championships every year. There is/was nothing lovable about this team. I also think both Boston and Toronto would have beaten the Cubs in 6, but they could not touch the magic of the Indians.
  8. And let it be known his first hit (likely an over the fence home run) will be against the TWINS.
  9. Every time we play the Royals and he PR I instinctively look him up to see if he has a hit yet.
  10. On a negative note, the Twins will be drafting and "developing" this pick.
  11. This team, as assembled, would not even sniff the AAA playoffs.
  12. Modist is good. Excellent choice to start.
  13. I love the curtain call down six runs.
  14. So now a fastball is the most dangerous pitch to throw? Five years ago it was a slider, before that it was a forkball. In my day it was a curve ball. Why don't these guys just admit they don't know any more than anyone else?
  15. Nice call on the pitcher's duel, Dick.
  16. To me it signifies he wants to cash in with the highest bidder. The Twins won't be, and shouldn't be, that team for a player of his age with this disastrous team.
  17. Bautista has told the Blue Jays he isn't giving them a hometown discount so we have absolutely no shot. Also don't believe for a minute that the Twins would ever bring in an outside face with his type of personality.
  18. It would be nice to get to that point again, wouldn't it? Even last year at no point did I ever believe the Twins would be a playoff contender so none of the games in September really had my full attention.
  19. Bringing your closer into a tie game in the eighth inning is evidently thinking outside the box.
  20. Sweet! Call to the bullpen! This should end well.
