    Baines being in is an absolute joke. He compiled his numbers and he didn't reach any milestone. Didn't have 3,000 hits, didn't hit 400 home runs. He was a corner OF and DH for his entire career and slugged only .465. He made only six all star games and his best MVP finish was 9th.

    i know a couple of Sox fans who were not fans of Ferrell. The free agent manager coming in during the season doesn't happen very often. So any managerial change would likely be someone with the organization.

    Morrison climbed that same cliff in a hurry having his best season at 29. He's going to get better but it's possible last year was the fluke season.

    Most everyone else can do other things for the team. Play defense well, get on base, hit for a respectable average, avoid weight related injuries.

    Maybe that final two months last year was the fluke for this roster. Not this bad but closer to a 78 win team than a 90 win team.

    Sano is a home run threat no doubt but what else? I realize that's important but he's much more likely to strikeout than hit the ball over the fence.

    Full disclosure. After Dozier threw a hissy fit in Baltimore my fandom lessened. I know don't blame the entire team for one guy being a jerk but somethings can just get under your skin. Add the embarrassing play and I'm kind of checked out.

    Last season the Twins were a below .500 team with a bad run differential for nearly 2/3 of the season. They got hot at the right time and faced poor competition for the second wildcard spot.
