  1. One doesn't have anything to do with the other.
  2. They rushed Vargas and Santan from AA to the majors. The only thing keeping Sano out the majors this season was TJ surgery and a healthy Buxton very likely would have gotten a cup of coffee.
  3. In the long run or even a weeks run this won't mean jack to the people who are mad with the organizatio. If the Twins decide to give him an inning and the bonus than great if they don't than so be it. If you look at his complete results there's enough missed chances that the rain out shouldn't have made a difference.
  4. Because I saw it happen in real time my choice is Santana in 2004.
  5. Sorry, the abysmal post-season record takes away from winning in the regular season. They not only failed to make it out of the LDS five years. They failed to even play in a deciding Game Five.
  6. Acceptance? You're making it sound like being a fan of Joe Mauer is like jumping into a freezing cold river with a strong current. .
  7. I always think of TK and the wasted 90s when Hall of Fame managers come up. Ned Hanlon didn't win any world series titles because his prime managerial seasons came before the World Series. Also worth noting. He managed future Hall of Fame managers Connie Mack, John McGraw, Wilbert Robinson and Miller Huggins. He also managed Hughie Jennings who was inducted as a player but had successful managerial career.
  8. A part of me gets a feeling there's going to be a Jordan Schafer released thread before the end of the year.
  9. Given the poor state of offense in baseball it's a little surprising the trade deadline was so pitching friendly.
  10. Is this a serious thread?
  11. He won't sacrifice contact for home runs, but he's certainly doing so for more strikeouts.
  12. That beats having the same name of a pedophile/ serial killer.
  13. I'd personally promote to Rochester before deciding whether to call him up to the big leagues. Trout and Harper both spent time in Triple AAA. The one concern would be rather the organization would consider struggles in Rochester to be a reason not to let Sano play a few weeks with the Twins.
  14. That entire off-season was a nightmare. They twins lost Garza, Hunter, Santana, and during the season Castillo and got next to nothing of value in return.
  15. Is there a comp with a longer track record than Chris Davis?
  16. Great post. I asked in another thread do the Twins have the right type of pitching coach working with Meyer and May for that matter?
  17. Hicks is a big boy who's not going to cry because Gardenhire yelled at him for a stupid play.
