I don't think it's a velocity issue. After watching the 9th again. I think it's more of a command issue. He threw fastballs to the hitter he walked. If the hitter can eliminate the fastball out of the equation then it doesn't matter if he throws 120. I believe he had a similar rough patch last year. And as @USAFChiefmentioned in another post. I'm pretty sure the pitch selection comes from the bench.

The simple explanation is that Julien is just not a good 2nd baseman. Yet I always hear how improved he is. Perhaps. But he still has a ways to go just to be considered average.

Observed that Buxton who played the whole game yesterday is off today. The adventures of Willi Castro in cf continues. Hoping the Twins can right the floundering ship.

Not to disagree, but I think his hit to rf in his last AB was one of his best swings all year. He's been pretty much dead pull all year so far. Maybe it's a positive sign. I hope

He did not look like his normal self tonight. A couple balls that I think he normally catches fell in. Err on the side of caution perhaps?

I don't understand pulling Correa in an embarrassing loss. I mean why not Buxton too. 1st game back off the IL. If your throwing in the towel to prevent a possible injury. OK I get it. Why not protect the guy you need in CF who is the most injury prone player on the team too? What message are you sending to the rest of the team? Explain it to me like I'm a 6 year old please.

Perhaps my vision is going. But it looked pretty clear to me that Correas left foot was beyond where the rule states. The baseball gods were smiling on Ramirez. 3 outs in 1 AB plus game winning homer. Duran not trusting his best stuff. Seems I remember he did something similar last year. I forget the hitter. Umpiring can be complained about till the cows come home. But when you only score 1 off a very beatable McKenzie the umpires didn't lose the game. Spilled milk.

It's called comprehension. And obviously you don't. I specifically said they were two separate issues. What I did say was that IF you let in Rose and Jackson, that you would be getting the steroid aisle all in a frenzy saying what about us. -
