    So you don't think all teams aren't looking at the same defensive metrics. If catching defense trumps offense the Twins or any team would use that to their advantage. Vasquez gets roughly half of the catching duties. If you let him catch 110 or so like you advocate, do you think his numbers might slip due to wear and tear? You've been beating this drum for a long time. Time to play the B side.

    Shoeless Joe is long past overdue. So is Rose. The Fosse incident in an "exhibition" game is Rose's signature moment. That game meant something to all those players. Different Era to be sure. I never liked Rose as a person but I sure admired his hard nosed approach for every game. I don't like the fact that he did bet on baseball. But 4200 hits. Come on. I think they should put his Plaque in Cooperstown. Maybe do it quietly without the induction ceremony. But then you're going to open up a whole can of worms on the steroid era. Totally separate issues, I know. But that's human nature. JMTC. And just to add on Fosse has at least 1 ring with the A's. It would have been poetic if it came at the expense of the Reds. I don't remember.

    OK. I'll admit I'm goofy. I tell my wife every day is her birthday. Tying that into this. Today was Pablo Day. Let's hope the Twins can make every game a Pablo Day. Or a Correa give a bat to a young fan day. Or hell, sausage day. Whatever it takes. Let's keep the MOJO going. They still need to clean up some things defensively. But hey. They're on fire. On to Toronto.
