  1. So Kaepernick should sign a league minimum salary to be a starting quarterback? If he was given a legitimate chance, like Colt McCoy just was, he would do fine. There is no chance in my mind McCoy is at the same level.
  2. Looking like a solid program today. One of the few times I've been able to watch them.
  3. Nice year Cashman. I hope he gets a shot at the next level. Dude is a stud.
  4. Terrible call on Cashman. These announcers are going to drive me crazy.
  5. Agreed. Redskins had time to make that move though. I can see the case for him being signed and not play the first week, but at least have a plan. Guaranteed Kaep can go out and throw 3 interceptions. Especially with an extremely liberal, and diverse fan base, Redskins would be the place to pull the trigger.
  6. Anyone out shopping tonight? Up in Roseville today from Iowa, so getting some lists crossed off.
  7. I didn't watch the game, but it was close enough to believe a better quarterback than colt McCoy would have improved their outcome. A first place team this late in the season... threw it away.
  8. Do you really think they didn't? The NFL is absolutely going to lose that lawsuit, and likely have to pay Kaep 50 million.
  9. This isn't the twins section...
  10. Are the Redskins going to waste a potential playoff spot by playing quarterbacks that wouldn't make the team at Alabama? Seriously, sign kaepernick and at least try. That goes for teams like the jaguars too.
  11. The summer girls just won't be the same.
  12. I really enjoy the time I spend in Chicago. The sports fans leave plenty to be desired... but the city is great. I hope the violence ends.
  13. Should have changed my 401k to a less aggressive plan 2 weeks ago when I wanted to.... Hoping for a late year rally now. Recession of 2019 looms over us...
  14. They are probably being processed and going through the traditional asylum steps.... Like having their kids taken from them and being put in jail. At least Jim Acosta hasn't been put in jail yet. It is fun watching how fragile Trump is. ❓Wonder if he'll only do faux news debates and faux news interviews heading into 2020?
  15. I listened to the first half and watched the second. Still think this bears team is overhyped. Vikings made some adjustments in the second half and were much more competitive. The offensive line is going to sink this team, and should sink Spielman too. Play calling needs to be more creative to keep cousins from getting killed every play.
  16. I need to try to get ace steam hooked up.... or I'll need to be at the bar all night.
  17. Wow... Already 8 pages deep.
  18. Republicans would do well to prop up their favorite new woman punching bag. If Pelosi disappears, it will be Warren they go after. No reason to change tactics if it's working.
  19. I don't think he knows how to play chess. In this reference, I think it's obvious to everyone why Pelosi could be good for Trump.... Plus, he probably gets along fine with her.
  20. There is absolutely no way Trump wrote that.
  21. Brock democrats are not the sorry puppy that gets kicked all over the country, they have their part in this too. We should all want a level playing field. At this moment, the democrats seem to have better intentions for the nation, but I'm not willing to place all my eggs in that basket considering what's happened to the gop in the last ten years. Fair elections are our only hope. We are in this mess because of citizens United and gerrymandering. Let's learn from that.
  22. Basing this on the 2010 redistricting that forced the democrats to win the popular vote by 5% just to win an even number of seats isn't fair. Fairly drawn lines would have substantially different outcomes. Some of my hope is that in 2020 with democrats in control we will have fair districts. This will reduce partisanship and reward working across party lines. And, Democrats will pick up a ton of seats, just by evening the playing field in some states.
  23. The last flip was when the south turned red and the North blue. The party demographics are changing right now. The red voters are older and less educated. I don't think that is a good strategy long term. For now, it is holding the Senate and the edge in the EC.... but once Texas goes purple the gop is screwed..... and Texas will go purple. There are too many educated, racially diverse, urban, and suburban areas for it not to.
  24. Is Diggs in? Is Rhodes in? If yes to both I like the Vikings. The bears are overhyped.
  25. Contraction is inevitable. It is just a matter of when and how long it lasts. The housing market is already slowing way down. Combine this with stagnant wages and millennials not able to afford houses. The writing is on the wall. The economy is good now, but part of the strength is a short term boost from the tax cuts. This will not have a lasting impact. By this time next year the economy could be in a very different place. I'm considering changing my 401k to a less aggressive plan in anticipation, just not ready to pull the trigger yet.
