  1. You had me until Kent Hrbek.
  2. The writing was poor. No plot really, side plots didn't make sense. Conclusion was inconclusive. No real drama or build up. I'm just puzzled why they even released this season. They could have done a lot with what they had left, and failed.
  3. Wait.. are you talking about my cousin Jeb?
  4. Finished house of cards. Was not a huge fan of this season.
  5. At what point were the twins in a position to trade Buxton in order to win a championship? This is clearly Theo blowing smoke. Prospects don't win games.
  6. I'd rather sign Mochado. Who will be more valuable in 5 years at 3b?
  7. So long Joe. Bring up Munson! Munson> Mauer> sweet wine>Twitter
  8. A nice bounce back game so far. This Purdue team isn't bad. Defense holding a dangerous offense to zilch, but got crushed last week by a Chevy Malibu.
  9. Agreed. The fiasco in southern Florida should be further evidence why this had to happen. They basically hid the US Senate race in a corner of the ballot. A whopping 10% of people who voted for governor, didn't vote for Senate in some areas.
  10. Didn't you hear? Obama left the military in tatters and Trump had to rebuild it. We were only spending 600 billion per year. How can we sustain a military like that?
  11. We've focused a lot on democrats winning back seats. It is justifiable because of how far the gop has gone off the rails. I'd like to ask how to get the gop back on track. How do we get this party and their voters to be sane again? Trump is absolutely not the only extreme voice in this party. We can't allow this party to continue to degrade and erode our country.
  12. Like the article says, despite her skill and success, she is a liability. Make her majority whip. I'm sure Republican attacks are successful partly because gender. They're also successful because Obama was black, and she was aligned with him. It reminds the gop base they oppose "those" people. They coastal liberal elites. Her time has passed as a leader in the party.
  13. I haven't caught up on all three 538 articles. I have a long weekend ahead of me...
  14. RBG fractured 3 ribs today.... If Trump is allowed to appoint 3 justices to our court.... The thought just makes my stomach turn.
  15. That happens... and we might witness a real constitutional crises. I highly doubt the court rules in Trump's favor on that case.
  16. There hasn't been oversight. The republicans in power have been too gutless to check Trump. With the dems having control of the House, they will at least provide some checks and balance.
  17. I think the Sessions news belongs here, since he is apart of the executive branch, and Trump did the firing. This shouldn't surprise anyone. Sessions successor has been critical of the Mueller investigation publicly. Trump should be careful with how hard he pushes.
  18. The democrats would be fools to elect Pelosi to be speaker again... so I'm sure that is exactly what they'll do. They need to reach the older white voters again, and Pelosi isn't the person for it. She's been attacked and turned into the bogeyman by the gop and gop donors. They can't allow her to drag down their message. Elect someone else that can't be so easily taken advantage of.
  19. We've agreed in many ways about the importance of having competent coaches. I wish he could have kept Claeys as DC, because I really feel his schemes and adjustments were very good.
  20. At least you guys don't have to be represented by Jason Lewis anymore. Dude is built from the phlegm of Rush Limbaugh.
  21. I don't think this was the result democrats were looking for. The racist, fear mongering message works well for white people. Especially old white people. Looking at Scott polls, millennials voted hard Democrat, just not in the same numbers as old people. Polls slightly underestimated Republican chances again. They must be missing these Trump supporters somehow. Maybe it is the old generation in nursing homes? They seem to be a significant portion of Trump's base. If anything, Democrats should feel good about putting out solid candidates in a bunch of races. Moral victory for that, along with winning back the house to provide oversight on Trump. The game changer in 2020 could be what they new house is able to uncover and what happens with Mueller. There are a handful of Republican held Senate seats up in 2020 that could be in play if it goes South for Trump.
  22. Wow. This is surprising. I thought this would go better. I find it hard to stomach the this many people in our country voting with Trump.... even though I know they do.
  23. I am, and I did vote against him. So did a lot of people. I wouldn't be surprised to see him lose.
  24. Remember I'm in Iowa
  25. I voted Republican for our state secretary. He did do a voter id law, but you are automatically sent a state issued card for registering. He stood up to Trump admin about giving away identities, and his opposition didn't seem competent at all.
