Top 25 in an organization? Are you ****ing crazy? Liriano has been elite the last 10 starts and you want to trade him for a guy that wont even profile to be a AAAA player? Wow dude. Liriano may not be Roy Halladay for steadiness, but he's got talent that not many guys in baseball have. Talent isn't cheap. I'm in the boat that I'd be perfectly content offering arb and receiving a draft pick as compensation if he leaves. Trade him for ****ty minor league relief pitcher....
I don't think his clock would start because you need a certain amount of IP or PA for that to happen right? Even if they had him make a few starts, I don't think he would come near that number. I think it will depend on how he does and if the Twins think he can compete for the starting rotation out of spring training.
The biggest problem I guess I have is the best prospect is a OF, which the Twins do not need. The next best is a back of the rotation starter, which the Twins also don't need. If the prospects were a 2b and a high upside pitcher I'd be all for it.
Hell no. Not a single one of those guys looks to profile to even be an MLB regular. I'd rather keep him in the first place, but if you're going to trade him at least get something worthwhile.
Fixed. P.S. There was nothing in-jest about stating this thread. Candlelight vigils work. Ask Brad Radke, we brought his arm back from the dead in 2006.
He's old for the league and a small sample size. I couldn't find any scouting reports about him, but watching his delivery he doesn't create a ton of power off the mound and I have a hard time seeing how he could even top 90 mph.
Taylor Rogers has been impressive so far. I haven't been able to find a scouting report, anyone have one? Watched a bit of him on youtube and his delivery looks alright, but looks like he lacks velocity.
Fort Myers has a facility where these kids live right away, and in the offseason. I would imagine Beloit and NB have living arrangements like apartments or hotels for the players when they are at home. The Twins also try to do a good job getting these kids an education. There are articles and such through their home website I'm sure.
