  1. Benson starting to hit? I sure hope so. Would love to see him get hot and return to form.
  2. My patience for Plouffe is wearing thin. That was a terrible error. Completely lazy. He might need to be benched a few days to send a message.
  3. Don't have any problem with this trade. If they believe in this guy he is much more valuable than 4 replacement level players. You can't predict guys in late rounds becoming great players, otherwise they would get drafted earlier. Impact players are what win in this league. From this draft, it appears to me the Vikings upgraded big time. Yes, they need a LB still, but adding depth at CB and D-Line will help mask LB deficiencies. Great strategy IMO.
  4. What screams "I'm ready" in Gibson's results? He's had one quality start out of 4 so far, the only game he even pitched into the 6th inning, he's walked a bunch of guys and there is no reason to bring him up right now. He's not ready.
  5. Peanuts, is it ok to make fun of you? I mean, I've known some of the others on this site for a long time, and I'm not worried about hurting their feelings with anything I say.
  6. Do I really have to do Felix Jorge already since he is starting out in E-Town and they aren't playing yet? I will do him soon, just haven't had the time. Everyone else's looks so sweet, I don't want mine to suck.
  7. You sound so... experienced....
  8. It is pretty telling when DickBert start criticizing. It is going to be between Hendriks and Gibson IMO. It doesn't look like Pelfrey has much. I could him still getting starts into late May if he can even perform how he has been, but not much later. And if he's worse... the writing is on the wall.
  9. Parmelee destroyed AAA last year. Give him a chance to make adjustments and get on track. Arcia will be up here soon. He is showing signs of jitters too. A better question in Arcia vs. Hicks, in which case I'd be all in on Arcia.
  10. Pictures or it didn't happen.
  11. I don't think he sees the Twins this year. He'll end in AA and maybe start in AAA in 2014 with a chance to be promoted if Plouffe/Parmelee don't improve.
  12. Too early to leapfrog guys (except the TJ surgery and promotions). Sano started hot last season and went through a little slump. With improvement in defense and contact rate, Sano could easily be #1 going into next season IMO. His power is just that legit.
  13. The results don't seem to indicate Gibson is 100%. Before he comes up with the Twins he needs to get his control under control (heh, that was on purpose).
  14. Completely serious. I watched a lot of the WBC and some ST. Morneau looked as lethal as ever. Your interpretation is what I'm talking about. To me, staying on top is basically keeping his eyes on the ball and weight back. I'm still hopeful, I'm not throwing in the towel on an MVP after a few weeks of baseball.
  15. It is odd. The AB's he took in the WBC and ST made him look like MVP Morneau. I don't understand why he is so lost right now. It seems like he is just falling off the ball and not staying on top of it. I'm hoping the warmer weather will help too.
  16. Escobar likes playing baseball. He should play more often.
  17. Is it laying off them, or just not being able to hit and therefor not swinging the bat? Pretty stupid to me that he keeps getting walked.
  18. Baseball will always have things like this. Career ending injuries might happen, at some point, but I don't think anyone tries to end someone's career. I love the game and all the little things that come with. Unwritten rules and sticking up for your players will always be apart of it. This isn't football, where hitting someone in the back gives them repeated concussions.
  19. I'm absolutely not advocating it before he is found guilty in a civilian court of law. I know it doesn't work this way, but I believe he should have a civilian trial, and if found guilty should be allowed to be tried for terrorism in a non-civilian trail. Once found guilty there, I think water boarding (I don't consider it torture) should be allowed as a means of extraction. I'm not saying just torture him for the fun of it, just that I believe he might have information that can lead to finding others responsible.
  20. Still skeptical. Walks are great, more a sign that pitchers can't throw strikes than anything he did. He hasn't even made good contact for a long time. I don't get why pitchers aren't just pounding the zone and making him beat them with a hit. I still have serious doubts about his ability to put the bat on the ball. Maybe a more patient approach will help... or he'll just get behind in counts and see ****ty pitches to hit.
  21. People that commit terrorist acts that kill innocent people don't deserve the same rights. Most people have the right to live, yet in states with capital punishment that right is taken away isn't it? Unless the US government has some better type of extraction methods, the people that aided these two are going to be given an opportunity to aid others. Do you want that? Murderers and rapists generally act alone, so using water boarding as a method to extract info wouldn't do much good. Pseudo. Show me a link/study that agrees with you. From what I've been exposed to, water boarding is the best way to get info. I don't care if he was an American Citizen. He is a terrorist, that killed people and injured hundreds. This isn't a case where we aren't sure if he was responsible either. I believe it is a matter of public safety. I might be wrong, but they should absolutely put their resources into finding out.
  22. I'd be for Stewart or Denny. I want upside, and taking a little risk might be the only way to do it in this draft.
  23. Great inning by Twins hitters there.
  24. Gibson having some control problems.
