Thanks for that site. Affiliations. I've been looking up each league scoreboard for the Twins minor league Box scores. This will make it much simpler. I'm not too impressed with E-town and GCL Twins teams this season. sub-average.

I think have Gardy and his coaches take Spanish immersion courses and continue their Spanish lessons as long as they are with the Twins. Even if they do not become proficient in Spanish, they will be showing that they care and that they are willing to make the effort to communicate with the Latin players. Is Eddie Guardado fluent in Spanish ?

If and when May and or Myers don't turn out to be Major League pitchers, you will probably be complaining about Ryan's "poor judgement". Being a Major League General Manager is a tough job. You need to take risks and some people will be critical no matter what you do.

Standing at home plate admiring your home run has ALWAYS been considered bush league. Players need to learn it is not acceptable behavior under any situation. I doubt they cared about flipping the bat.

In 2004 Cliff Lee was 14-8. In 2005 he was 18-5. In 2006 he was 14-7. Then, in 2007 Cliff Lee was sent to the Minors. He had a 22-3 record in 2008 and won the Cy Young Award. Since then Lee has been one of baseball's best pitchers. Some pitchers need to get in the right circumstances to be successful. They need the right manager and/or the right pitching coach to get the most out of their talents. Dave Stewart was almost 30 when the A's picked him off the junk heap and made him a starter. For the next 5 years or so, he was one of the most feared pitchers in the Majors.

This is one of the rare times Reusse chooses to say something constructive and backs it up with examples. Perhaps the Twins should have a relatively young, successful Spanish speaker as a roving coach to help deal with the difficulties of playing baseball in America.
