    This we agree on. It was a difficult play. Very difficult. But that is his calling card. That is one we need him to make. That is what he is paid for. To make the extremely difficult play. To finish the extremely difficult play. Count me disappointed. With the pitching, we need Donaldson to deliver. All the way. And you know better than me how ridiculous defensive stats are most of the time. The official scorers give away hits, and seem to not believe in errors anymore. (Not that I think this play was an error, at all. Extremely difficult.)

    Both of those runners scored, anyway. Because the third out hasn't even came yet now. The out would have meant everything to this inning. Glad you liked it. When you get paid that much, you need to be great and finish.

    Wes got a lot of credit for fixing pitchers. Does he get credit for breaking them, too? Almost all the pitchers have regressed with Wes watching now......

    Can't be an apoligist for Donaldson. If you don't complete the play, the stop means nothing. Glad you liked it. There have been several of those lately. Scored two anyway. Double play didn't happen because of the shift earlier. Twins baseball is so smart.

    This is classic for Saint Paul. They are practicing for this year's Twins by stranding runners, wasting good performances, and even have a closer, Coulombe, with a last name far too close Colome (those extra letters don't fool me), who gets the same results.

    This quote from Baldelli after the 6-3 loss before this one.... “We’re not just going to send someone out there because they've been around a little longer or they’re a little more experienced,” Baldelli said. “We’re going to pitch the guys that we think have the best chance of getting us outs and we’re going to challenge our guys to do that.” He did that all year until Waddell. Hence Colome over and over and over and over.....

    Twins rank in the AL’s top-4 for WAR at multiple positions including second base (2nd overall), third base (1st overall), and left field (4th overall). Left field? LEFT FIELD? So much for WAR meaning anything.....

    It doesn't matter what the offense has done if you enter the 9th with a 2 run lead and only need 3 outs to win a game. It could be 2-0, or 12-10.... it doesn't matter. If you have the lead, it is on your pitching (and your highest paid player's defense, perhaps).

    It's Colome's fault. He has infected the whole staff with bad Mojo since opening day. It won't leave us until he is released and gone, and his old uniforms are all burned.
