  1. Probably not, especially with the bottom of the pen being used. Baldelli quit on this game in the 4th inning.
  2. Yes. Yes. Yes. Any win at this point. Celebrate.
  3. Astudillo to catch, now. I ike Larnach here, but hate Astudillo behind the plate. This team is just in the sewer. Defensive move, eh?
  4. Why the hell is Gordon not in this game now? They are just letting Gordon rot. It makes no sense.
  5. I hate that brick wall behind the plate. They should pad it with a pad that looks like brick.
  6. Why can't our hitters go for the first pitch of a reliever and hit it out? No. The seem to automatically just take the first pitch. But our pitchers seem to think they can just throw the first pitch down the middle and get away with it. Now we have all these waiver wire or similar tired pickups that don't even feel like they are on our team. I can't even call them Twins even though they wear the uniform. I would much rather see farm talent than this crap.
  7. but it is not the Twins bullpen......
  8. If this was the Twins on defense, and the bullpen bringing a new pitcher in, you could count on at least 2 scoring and we be at 6-4.
  9. Is that part of the test? He did expire there.
  10. To be fair? I have no idea what that even means. Pitchers stand around even when they are pitching.
  11. Our first two hitters strike out swinging on balls, and Pineda starts by throwing meat in the middle of the zone.
  12. Shoemaker Not too Shabby The scoreboard would indicate that Matt Shoemaker had a rough day on the hill. That wasn’t the case. Shoemaker was outstanding through four innings, retiring 11 consecutive batters at one point. The tables turned in the fifth inning when Shoemaker surrendered four singles and a walk, leading to a four-run inning for the Royals. Shoemaker has been up and down all year, but you can’t knock the guy for his outing today. Despite the result of the inning, Shoemaker pounded the zone all day. No, six runs aren’t great, but Shoemaker has been moving in the right direction as of recent, and today was far from a shameful performance. Self fullfilling prophecy. If 5 runs (I know, 2 let in by Theilbar, but we are the IRS kings of the world! -- don't leave men on for the relief, because they no longer know how to provide relief until they let all the teammates runners in) in 4.1 inning is a good outing and acceptable, my expectations are way way way higher, and I might be rooting for the wrong team. Sano doesn't seem to have the mental capabilities to make it. So many of our batters today just swung at ball four and other balls. Sano needs to quit watching Astudillo and start watching Larnach and Kirilloff.
  13. It was kool-aid, and FO worship. It never was a post season team. Proof is in the performance. This team really does suck. That was a quick window. Shows why you mortgage the future in the 100+ win record season and get the pitching for the playoffs. Better than the plan to use up roster spaces for guys like Dakota Chalmers and then just dfa him anyway, but let Nick Anderson go..... Identification of pitching my ass.....
  14. He's letting the team get used to an extra inning inning. Especially with putting a runner on second with no outs to start the inning. We need the practice it seems....
  15. How/why did the St Paul emblem appear under my name. I see others with other emblems. Are they auto assigned?
  16. He was only awake then for about a week. That's a quick summer.
  17. I'm really surprised that Means is so effective with his fastball. It is like watching Jesse Crain's no movement fastball, only about 3 mph slower.
  18. Sano gets the 92 fastball - his pitch - no movement, right down the middle. Whiff. Damn
  19. 12 minute half inning to watch Shoemaker's artistry, and 4 minutes for Means.
  20. Donaldson now in the .230s for BA and .700s for OPS. about 30 points in average and 100 points in OPS lower than his career lines. And how about the recent defense?
  21. To give you an answer, since you are requesting one, and you took the time to make that awesome table of pitchers, I want pitcher E, becasue it is Jacob deGrom. But if I was the Twins FO, I would select pitchers B,C,F, or G.... because that is what they do to supply new pitchers to our team. Or worse stat pitchers. I don't mind the sss for your purposes. It really doesn't matter for your mission. Enjoy your arguing. It doesn't matter what anyone else chimes in with, you are considering it 'noise'. You hear what you want to hear. No one has said that W/L is the most important stat. Nobody, You can win if you like. I am fine with considering W/L stats not useless for my baseball considerations. You can chose what you like.
  22. "Standing: 5th Place in AL Central (9.5 GB)" You are so kind. This sounds way better than "Standing: tied for DEAD LAST in the entire MLB" Tonight's game: a battle of the tied to not own it outright.
