  1. No no no. Screws to many guys up imo.
  2. What have the Twins got out of their center fielders in the same time frame?
  3. You win because of good coaching and lose because of bad players or the other way around the reality is this team has sucked big time for 3 1/2 years now. Is that long enough to expect some real changes if not how long are we expected to wait?
  4. After the last 3 1/2 years I think the Twins are the only team that wouldn't fire somebody at this point. It will be very hard to sell tickets for this team after the all star game.
  5. And we were happy to see Worley go.
  6. "..... but they are starting to tell teams that if they aren't contending later this month they'll make outfielder Josh Willingham and right-handed starter Kevin Correia available...." Somebody really has to have a talk with Terry and tell him this team is not a playoff contender!
  7. I'm a flower child of the 60's, peace and love no hate allowed! http://www.theminimalists.com/files/2011/11/Hippie.jpg
  8. Dick and Bert have about 10 Twins that belong on the All Star team. How can the record be so bad with so many great players?
  9. This works who needs two wheels? http://www.adventureunicyclist.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/10/Uni-Time-Trial.jpg
  10. Bilateral leg weakness is a bitch isn't it?
  11. Does last nights game mean the rubber band is healed and we are back in the race again?
  12. Very sad that on July 1 we are already looking at the rest of the season full of meaningless games again.
  13. The best winning pct in the first half is .622 by the A's. If the Twins match that, and no doubt they have a team as good as the A's, they would end up with 87 wins. I'm not sure that will win much at seasons end.
  14. Plouffe has been around long enough now that he likely is what he is, mediocre. If they can get something good for him do it. We have enough mediocre right now.
  15. Bad when they scored that run so early not much to look forward to now.
  16. Hey we scored a run. Little things.....
  17. At this point they would need to finish at a .585 clip the rest of the way to finish with 85 wins and even a chance to sniff the playoffs. Right now there are only 2 teams that have that good of record. This team needs to decide where it is going and either give the kids some playing time see what they can do and move forward with the best of them or continue with this group that is mostly mediocre veterans at best and continue going nowhere, imo.
  18. Yes but an experienced throwing error.
  19. From fan graph: by Joe Pawlikowski - February 18, 2011 http://cdn.fangraphs.com/blogs/wp-content/uploads/2011/02/BillBergen.jpgSo often in our baseball debates we’re searching for the best something: The best hitter of the 80s, the best pitcher of the pre-WWII era, etc. Yet rare is the occasion where we search out the worst player in a particular category or era. Sometimes that player jumps out at us and makes us notice; it’s the only reason that anyone knows Neifi Perez‘s name. But unless it is blatantly obvious the worst player often goes ignored. Until I ran a random Play Index search last week, I had never heard the name Bill Bergen, the man you see to your right. Now that I’ve found him, though, I’m confident that he is the worst hitter in baseball history. When citing an example of sporting dominance, I often turn to Wayne Gretzky. He is the only player in NHL history to score 200-plus points in a season, and he did it four times. Bergen provides a similar example, except we can replace the word dominance with ineptitude. He is the only player since 1901 who accumulated 250 or more PA with an OPS+ of 10 or less — and he did it in three consecutive seasons. 20. This appears to be Brains rubber band hanging by a thread. http://cdn.dailypainters.com/paintings/hanging_by_a_thread_2c3241920d27ad74c1b4a8b0e3ec072a.jpg
  21. How would you know what a low level cocaine dealer looked like?
  22. I think Hicks still has a chance to be a good major league player I just don't think it will be with the Twins.
  23. The good thing is Pelf is signed thru next year so we have plenty of time to get those excellent starts Terry planned for.
