    Be nice if they could get a decent left handed hitting catching prospect to pair with Pinto for Suzuki. Probably cant' get that much for him.

    Just looked at the June draft for 07 and 08. In the 07 draft in round 1 and 1s had 64 players picked and 8 of them have a war of over 5. In the 08 draft in round 1 and 1s had 46 players drafted and again 8 have a war over 5. Weather it's with Int. signings or with the draft it appears that baseball talent people have a hard time picking the right guys. Not a very good success rate either way.

    He's actually hitting ok for a backup catcher. He'll get picked up by a team for down the stretch. If Terry signs him and says why not us we can get back in this thing, I will go jump off the nearest bridge.

    NO it's time to bring in or up some guys that can play defense. Slow footed guys like Cuddy, Arcia, Willy, Parmalee and Colobello do not belong in a good outfield. Unless we get a bunch of miss the bat pitchers we need serious up grades in our outfield defense, imo.

    I think it might be he is just settling back to his norm. The homeruns have kind of come out of nowhere the last two years. Nine was the most he ever had in the Minors. While his OBP has improved the ave. has stayed fairly constant.

    Nice job writing this. He said, she said is likely how this turns out and we may never know anything for sure. However, I hope this doesn't become an excuse for not signing free agents in the future. All free agent contracts carry risk even a large risk and having the largest ever given by TR turn out this bad, for now, could really put the brakes on taking this kind of gamble again.
