  1. Trout is the guy that destroys the grading curve for everyone. He gets his own scale, while the mere humans get another.
  2. And because I'm bored, Pitchf/x has never recorded a Milone pitch hitting 92 mph. Did break the 91 mark on a select handful of occassions, but very, very rare.
  3. Milone FB velocity last 5 seasons 87.4 87.0 86.5 87.6 87.4 Mayhaps confusing him with someone else throwing 92?
  4. Concur.
  5. I think they should sign him just so we can play over/under in game threads about how many times Dickbert utters the phrase "professional hitter."
  6. Maybe we could get Salcedo back as the 4th piece for Dozier.
  7. Apologies for not contributing to the thread itself, but wanted to acknowledge the great outside contribution from puddle.
  8. Pedro Munoz did alright for me on Ken Griffey Jr. Baseball on the SNES. :/
  9. Kent at that age wasn't the defensive player any more that Dozier is currently, offensively I'd call them a wash (for Kent's first couple seasons in LA anyway).
  10. Auto-correct failure. It's RonDL.
  11. That's one half of the equation anyway. On the topic of Dozier, I'm still holding out hope for a stocking full of high-end prospects for Christmas.
  12. Salt in granular form added.
  13. A salary dump from the Dodgers onto the Twins. edit: sniped by Jimmer!
  14. That's almost as creepy as your avatar.
  15. It may be time to get this back out there again, for any that missed it.
  16. You're right, this isn't the 80's, they look at far more than just the HR output. OBP less than .300, OPS around .700, negative base running value, negative fielding value = bad player He doesn't provide any value outside of an occasional home run.
  17. Walker strikes out considerably more in the minors than even Davis does in the majors. They have nothing in common.
  18. For a more frightening look at his numbers in those seasons .226 / .292 / .427 / .719 OPS+ of 95, bWAR of negative 4.5
  19. Don't forget...
  20. I couple of hitless MLB at-bats and he can finish his career with a sub-200 average. Go Florimon!
  21. Good enough to start for the Twins.
  22. I'd settle for better pitch selection when swinging, even if the walks don't come. His plate discipline numbers are just lousy all-around. Among the worst in the league in percentage of pitches swung at outside of the strike zone, combined with mediocre contact numbers when he does swing.
  23. Ok, enough self-martyrdom, someone else can re-open this is there's a reason to do so.
  24. I can't wait another 3 days, my schedule doesn't permit it.
  25. Channeling my inner-Dave, I have to take full credit for this one*. *at least as far as my booze-worn memory recalls, someone will have to hit the archives.
