  1. Ok, let's pump the breaks on the chippy-ness a bit. This thread has been going pretty well for quite a while, let's not stop now.
  2. He also retired something like 6th on the all-time walk list, posting fantastic OBP's throughout his career despite his batting average.
  3. What are these Flim-Flams that you speak of?
  4. Nah, he's not even Jeff Gray level.
  5. Expanding a bit, once an in-thread warning is given, subsequent postings are typically given far less latitude where it comes to deletions and/or infractions.
  6. I would prefer to see Patterson return. A creative offensive gameplan can find plenty of ways to put his skillset to use, even if he doesn't improve much as a route-running receiver.
  7. Westworld is some trippy ****, I power watched it.
  8. We did get to see some bonus Jarius Wright before he's not on the team anymore.
  9. Perfect.
  10. icq# 2003933 Add me. yes, that's was actually my icq #, and yes, I'm a complete nerd for still remembering what it was despite it being over a decade since using it.
  11. Agreed and disagree. Big agree on Raburn more likely to accept a platoon role, as that's basically been his role the past 5 seasons now. Pretty sure I pined for Raburn on an occassion or two on BYTO. Disagree on the Davis not being able to hit enough. While Raburn does have an edge in career OPS against lefties at the plate (.827 vs .780), they're nearly identical against righties, and Davis is better on the bases.
  12. He's had 5 bazillion opportunities to spontaneously combust in this scenario, hasn't happened yet! Fun aside, I pulled this while looking up first pitch strikes on Google, an article I missed on Fangraphs. Chief would like that article as well, many points made that I swear were his damn near verbatim off BYTO. Concur?
  13. And if I'm the Dodgers, I start the conversation with Buxton + Sano, or GTFO.
  14. While the prospect of Clayton Kershaw on the Twins makes me tingly in all manner of ways indescribable due to the forum's terms of service, no, I don't think we could get Kershaw for anything remotely reasonable.
  15. I wonder which is more likely, Grossman becoming a viable defensive outfielder, or Rosario obtaining reasonable plate discipline.
  16. Pulled this out of an article written after Eaton was traded. http://www.fangraphs.com/blogs/adam-eaton-is-the-nationals-newest-star-player/ If Eaton is mediocre, so is Dozier.
  17. How about a little Chris Herr-Mann instead?
  18. I'm a big fan of the "Date Russians your way" ad, aesthetically anyway.
  19. Roughly 20th among the top 30 in plate appearances. Still not an F, unless you're going to start adding additional letter grades for those that were clearly worse (and in some cases, far worse).
  20. Joe ranked roughly 20th among major league first baseman (per war), I'd have put him the C-/D+ area. An F? No. Plenty with worse production than he provided.
  21. Play Bradford, and ditch the entire dump-off offense for a week. They've got nothing to lose (except Bradford's health when he gets pummelled of course).
