    Definitely agree with that! They've had chances to do so in the past and were too cheap to get it done. If the Red Wing franchise were ever put up for sale, the Twins should move immediately to purchase the team and rectify the situation, put the team in Florida, South Carolina, Tucson, Bakersfield, even downtown St Paul with a roof.

    "The front office knew"?The weather is always bad in the US northeast in April. I think it's only logical to have your best young prospects playing more consistently and with less chance of injury in bad field conditions in the Southern League than in Buffalo or Rochester.

    That's where I'm at. Even if he comes back with his strikeout stuff, wouldn't he be on innings restrictions and limited pitch counts, the Twins have plenty of SP help soon available.... the RP corps, not so much. Exercising his option, and having him ready to plug in when the next key RP falters seems like a good strategy. Next year, @ 100%, he might be able to fill out a really strong starting five.

    Summed up my thoughts quite nicely (and more succinctly). Littell already has two seasons under his belt with ~160 innings pitched- and his numbers have stayed solid, if not in some cases, even better, as he's climbed the minor league ladder. it appears that he not only knows how to pitch with his stuff, but also that he's physically ready to pitch effectively into October. Imagine the value and luxury of having a #4-5 SP who could maybe throw 12-16 quality starts out of 28? (By contrast, the Twins 3rd best in QS in 2017 was Kyle Gibson, with all of 10).

    Well, the 118 MPH line drive by Trout wasn't exactly an endorsement of Rodney's mound deception skills. (3rd hardest MLB hit in 2018).

    I hope I'm wrong- but a tall Anthony Swarzak? Both throw mostly 4-seamers and sinkers. Velocity is similar at the same stage of development. Interestingly, Swarzak has moved up to ~ around 95 MPH from ~90 since he left the Twins- along with a significantly increased K-rate. Perhaps Slegers can see similar upticks out of a major league bullpen?

    Pujols is at #9 all-time right now in doubles with 626 (Molitor is also in the 600 club @ 605- 15 players all-time with 600+ doubles, 9 players all-time with 600+ HRs). Amazingly, only 3 players all-time with 3000 hits, 600 HR + 2B. Aaron, Bonds and Pujols. Only 2 of whom with all of the above, plus career .300+ BA, that being Aaron and Pujols). As close to automatic first ballot HOFer as anybody in the last 30 years.

    I'm all for quick progression of the best prospects as much as anyone, but Mr Brooks is absolutely spot on- 2021 for Graterol's debut is the most realistic scenario at this point in time.
