  1. An offensive explosion, nice AB TF.
  2. That a boy! Can’t stop at one or if my math is correct 7 in 7
  3. If this is the offense, they won’t finish above Cleveland or Detroit. Not sure the thought process put in to come up with this lineup.
  4. Not sure if a shutout would do it for us. In all seriousness how much pressure is there on the starters, they must think they cannot afford to give up more than a run or two.
  5. That’s the start I am used to seeing.
  6. Quite disturbing. Starting pitching was pretty decent during the losing blues last year, nothing looks encouraging to date in 25. As poor as the defense is it really doesn’t matter if you are as flawed offensively as we are. When do we play the White Sox again?
  7. Went with the monthly MLB plan , after the 0-4 start wasn’t planning on pulling the trigger until they showed some life. Of course they get the White Sox in the second series to fool me they might be alright this year… at least entertaining. This is the same crap offense we watched all last year, the monthly plan is about to end. Nice play Gaper, nice coaching Rocco, you are a joke.
  8. Ragans like any other pitcher we face, we will struggle to get base runners . Falling to 3 -8 with another lackluster offensive performance. The pessimistic side of me feels we will be 8–10 games out of first by the end of April. The optimistic side believes the leader in the division will be 5 games under .500 and we will only be 5-6 games behind.
  9. It will never change, he costs the team 10-15 games a year with his clueless pitching decisions.
  10. We are the only team that faces 162 aces,, quite remarkable
  11. Not sure they score if the infield isn’t pulled in, the worst it’s one run and the runner has to hold at second. Seems a little early to be pulling the infield in there, but that’s what the IPad says.
  12. This team cannot be sold soon enough. This team is not a serious contender for anything, including the AL Central. Any manager that thinks that leading off Matt Wallner is a good tactical move is clueless. They have basically the same players in Larnach and Wallner, neither of whom have shown they are everyday MLB players. A serious team could go with one, but to count on both is malpractice. They don’t have a legitimate first baseman, at the plate and fielding. Duran’s throw yesterday on a swinging bunt told me all I needed to know about France’s defensive ability. And then there is the clueless manager… the team’s laid back who gives a sh** uninspiring play is a mirror image of his leadership and decisions. Checked out early today and will not be following until we get on a heater. Being a bandwagon fan is what I have become.
  13. Game over…. Time for some college hoops
  14. From questionable batting orders to pulling pitchers, let’s see how many games Rocco costs the team this year.
  15. The defensive end, or lack of, will cost the team outs and runs. The offense France and Miranda brings won’t offset the above. A 1-year Rizzo deal might have been the way to go as much as hated it when brought up earlier hear.
  16. This sale cannot happen fast enough. You really dont need to have a massive increase in the payroll to make the current roster favorites to win the division, but the cheapass owners putting on a self imposed spending limit has pretty much left last years sore taste to remain in our mouths with no hope of getting it out.
  17. You are correct, the AL. West is probably not as strong. More worriesome is that Detroit and KC have possibly bypassed. us, which makes next season even more tumultuous if Rocco continues with the same strategies with the same team and no upgrades with the projected 1st base rotation and no solid LHP relief option.
  18. They are close to being a playoff team, might even sneak in in the weak AL central. A legit first baseman and another RP are needed and should be able to be accomplished through trades. However, with that. this is the team that lives and dies by the longball even though there are no legit power threats. They are slow and unable to steal bases to generate runs, pretty poor at hitting with RISP and refuse to advance runners in obvious bunt situations. They have a manager that pinch hits i early innings draining the bench leaving no options at the end of the game. They were a bad defensive team, manager that pulls starters early that are cruising, uses his closer willy nilly with so many head scratching decisions. With that they have talent (when healthy) have a quality starting rotation and some exciting prospects. This team cannot be sold fast enough to bring in some positive changes and fresh energy.
  19. First off, he is a really good player when he's on the field. I never understood or put much stock in prospects, 3/4 of them never pan out, and those are the highest rated ones.. Half of the players on most teams were drafted after the 8 the round. So trading a known commodity for prospects is a crap shoot. Why are the cheap ass owners unwilling to go over their self-imposed spending limit when this team is really 2-3 solid players away from contending (and a major league caliber manager). Wouldn't fielding a competitive team make them more attractive when they try and unload the team next year? There's no way I trade Correa if I'm the money pinching cheap ass Pohland's. He is arguably worth more on the team the 2-3 propects that will likely never pan out.
  20. The payroll situation is a self imposed limit put in place by a multi billionaire who has zero interest in fielding a serious team. Locking up Ober makes sense so therefore it will not happen.
  21. The article doesn’t identify the most pressing needs of the team. Is it a first baseman, outfielder,…what. Trading from the strength of the team just to trade is terrible management… but I guess it’s the front office that landed Tyler Mahle.
  22. Truly inspiring, so another season of data driven, fundamentally flawed baseball.... The owner is tone deaf. The players listed voicing support weren't the issue... Leaders sometime need to make uncomfortable decisions based on what's best for the organization, Big Joe took the easiest path.
  23. They were in a favorable position in mid-August, but as many of us were saying, Rocco's decisions took many wins and put them in the loss column... There is no need to revisit them, I will raise a toast when he is relived of his duties. This collapse is not surprising to me and there is no plausible reason for Rocco to be in the office on Monday.... Take the GM with him as well.
