  1. Twins pitching has not been that bad the last few weeks. It is the hitting that is an issue. Let it ride for now and see what happens later. Starting pitchers are going deeper into the games and that will help the bullpen in the future. We do not need any new issues in the rotation, which will tax the bullpen.
  2. Dozier has the shorter window. The earliest one of the Shortstops could be here is 2015, so if the Twins do not go the FA way, we are looking at what we have in the near future. Florimon is serviceable so do not worry about it until the Twins are ready for the next level, which I see as 2015 at the earliest.
  3. It was known the first half of the year might not be as good as hoped. He could be good the second half as he gets further away from TJ surgery. No one left in Rochester is forcing their way up here, so give it some time.
  4. Will see, can not hurt to have some extra catchers in the system. Question is for Turner, can he call a good game?
  5. Parmelee needs to step up. If he does not hit the last half of this year, he could be gone in 2 years. Like Morneau, would resign if the price is right. Too many young players = a lot of growing pains without leadership. Then one bad apple, could be a big problem
  6. Hope Twins will save enough money on signings to sign Logan Shore(I know this probably will not happen) Just wishing they could find a few extra hundred thousand to take a run at him.
  7. Timing is all. Gibson can wait, Twins are probably going nowhere this year. September should be fine and then it is on to next year.
  8. Great news, it makes it possible if any/all of them do very well at AA, they could get a look in spring training for major league jobs.
  9. If he could harness his stuff, he could be a LOOGY for a long time. So far he has just driven GM's and managers to distraction.
  10. Think this would be a great try. Low risk very high reward if Sizemore can come back. Would allow Hicks to go back to AAA, or Twins to move Willingham or Morneau, and gain defense and not lose much at the plate(mainly power).
  11. Still hoping the Twins go Gray or Stewart. If three pitchers go before the Twins, they probably should take Bryant(though I am not enthusiastic with this direction). Best for me would be Gray, but could not well get to #4
  12. Try Harry Carey and Joe Buck in St. Louis. And I know this dates me.
  13. Alex Johnson should be on the list.
  14. It has been better except for the starting pitching. We are now on version 2. It may take a few to see what we have.
  15. We will see, but the Twins need another player who can play CF. Probably Arcia, but we will see.
  16. Need to learn not to let things behind him affect him. It is hard to do, even at my age I still do it once in a great while. Once he conquers the mental game, he should move up fast.
  17. I hope not a soft tosser. The power relief arms would be great. Or another boom or bust player. Safe is for later in the draft. Need high upside people at #43.
  18. This may have more to do with Sano's fielding and game approach, with mental errors than his talent. Twins also do not usually promote until a league's all star game, want to honor the teams and the player selected. Most of these players will move up in July, maybe a few based on need earlier.
  19. A lot of those players listed as later round picks, may have been difficult signs for many of the small to mid market teams. This was common back before this latest agreement with the major league players.
  20. Still take the BPA and worry about the rest later. I will worry if it is Appel and Boris wants almost all the budget for the first 10 picks to sign him. Agree with the comment I saw earlier in a different post the Bud Selig may be worried about the same issue.
  21. Twins need the BPA, but given his positions, Bryant would have to be head and shoulders above the next player for the Twins to need him.
  22. Would take Stewart is none of the big 3 are there. Would like Appel or Gray if they are there only because of shorter time to the majors
  23. Colorado tried this a few years back, did not work.
  24. I think we take Stewart if the first 3 are gone(that is not certain as the Astro's have now been linked with Morin). We have to see. Bryant may be redundant as he plays 3B/OF, positions of strength in the Twins organization.
  25. Nice to see Hicks starting to progress. Give him time, his April's have tended to be bad.
