  1. Is clearing you browser cache the new "try blowing the cartridge?"
  2. To be fair most rationale people didn't make any decisions on Dozier, they said he was a work in progress and shouldn't have been automatically penciled into this teams future. It's great he looks good at 2nd, but his offense needs to pick up if he wants to become something better then what we have had the past 8 or so seasons at 2B.
  3. Why on earth should anyone be concerned that a few guys who have zero chance of making the roster "struggled" in the bullpen in a meaningless game? I guess a case could possibly be almost made about Gibson in this game, but he isn't going to be on the major league roster off the bat anyways. The only thing I care about this spring is: 1. the team looks somewhat healthy (esp mauer/morneau) 2. Hicks is going to win the CF job.
  4. For whatever reason the page is still messed up half the time on my iphone. Also the facebook and twitter icons are a little large for my taste and I don't think those really induce clicks as much as they just make people learn to avoid the right rail, not a fan of gigantic avatars either, but that is just me.
  5. Uh oh, I know one poster who won't be pleased with this news
  6. Is that dude even still alive?
  7. I'm going to rejoin after this league as Richard McBeef
  8. Yeah I always end up playing games for. 2-3 weeks then run out of time etc, I bought the show the last 3 yeas, last years I think I literally only played it a few times. It is a great game though.
  9. Also it's weird hicks isn't in the game I thought all 40 man roster players were in it
  10. Yes Mauer is only one of the top 7 or so catchers of all time and lead the league in OBP last year. No way does he deserve a good rating in a video game... On a more positive note: this is one of my fav articles posted on this site, very good work! I might actually have to dust off the ps3 and buy it.
  11. Its been building up with Scott and Tim in other leagues I am in. It is really bull**** that they couldn't make the selection I asked for. Especially when we pay CBS to host this league.
  12. I think we also got a 3 or 4 next year to.
  13. Meh, I needed to drop a league anyways, and this one is full of mouth breathers. Tim is a piece of **** though, he easily could have made the picks I asked for. Good luck to you guys this year.
  14. Lololololol
  15. I'm not angry about any of those things, in reality teams like the Twins go through good stretches and bad stretches (in all sports really). It is smart to rebuild now and go for another 7-8 year window of winning like the Twins just came off of. I am a little frustrated with the Pohlads, but that is what it is, everyone hates sports owners.
  16. Oh man, I really miss that guy. He was such a goober but his mullet and hate for Mauer made him actually pretty funny.
  17. I'm not to worried about Sanos batting average, he had one of the top OPS seasons in recent history for a teen at that level.
  18. Nobody is undervaluing Buxton and nobody is saying he isn't the Twins #2 prospect...
  19. 1. Hicks 2. Mauer That is the top of the lineup that can win you some ball games. Parmelee isn't a #2 hitter, you need a guy who at least has a little speed or preferably can get on base at a good clip. Parmelee personally projects as a #6/#7 hitter to me.
  20. "If the Twins come back from 3 games down with 4 to play I will leave this site forever"
  21. I think its a little silly for anyone to put Buxton over Sano at this point, Sano has his warts no doubt but the kid probably has the most raw power in all or prospect(dom) I almost get picking Buxton due to some thought of upside, but he then takes high upside guys like Arcia and Meyer and puts them under Hicks and Gibson. FWIW: I personally have Hicks as my #3 but its just a personal thing.
  22. ESPN makes a **** ton in online advertising, trust me, and their average CPM's run over $10, $25+ for anything worthwhil. The insider thing is more or less a reason to pawn off the print magazine subscriptions to keep that dying "business" afloat, also they have a bunch of people who more or less have been on "auto renew" for the past 5+ years who prob don't even realize they are still getting charged every year/month. That is the big benefit of the "subscription business" people are to lazy to cancel a monthly $5 charge.
  23. Also the SS free agents next year are well.....wow...just awful.
  24. What are you talking about? Dozier and Plouffe could become the next Cano and A-Rod (in his prime) and the Twins would still most likely have a huge hole at SS moving forward. Unless you somehow think Florimon or Escobar are a legitimate option moving forward.
  25. But he had 24 in his first year on the Yankees. 2011 is when he truly "went off" Oddly enough Melky had a career 86 OPS+ prior to 2011 then went off for 121 and 158 in 2011/2012 Cano there isn't really any big jump in 2011 FWIW, though last year was his best year overall.
